New Nokia 2018 flagships: Full display with no notch!

At the MWC 2018 event, Nokia grabbed our attention with the announcement of two new Nokia phones. Firstly, they introduced their first ever handset with 18:9 display: Nokia 7 Plus. Moreover, they also brought back the iconic Sirocco style in another new variant of Nokia 8: Nokia 8 Sirocco. On another hand, they haven’t mentioned about the Nokia 8’s successors yet at the event. However, more details about the next Nokia flagships has slowly surfaced.

According to our sources, we can expect two Nokia 2018 flagships arriving this year: Nokia 8 Pro and Nokia 9. In terms of the design, previous reports have suggested that they can sport a notch to maximise the Full display. On the contrary, the recent Nokia Flagship prototype image suggested the opposite. It seems like these two Nokia 2018 flagships are going to avoid the notch design. Furthermore, the Nokia 9 can carry an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Notably, Nokia 8 Pro specs pack a 5.5-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Meanwhile, Nokia 9 specs include a 5.7-inch IPS LCD with the similar resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood, both Nokia 2018 flagships are going to take power from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Furthermore, Nokia 8 Pro and Nokia 9 have 6GB RAM with 128GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB). On another hand, Nokia 8 Pro camera has a 32MP penta-lens camera on the back and a 16MP front-facing snapper. Additionally, Nokia 9 camera includes a dual 13MP rear snapper and a dual 5MP selfie lens. As for the operating system, both Nokia handsets are going to run on the latest Android 8.1 version. Finally, Nokia 8 Pro battery packs a bigger non-removable 3500mAh juice box. Besides, Nokia 9 battery rocks a smaller 3260mAh capacity.
