Nokia 1 with Android Go: 8GB ROM with an affordable price!

One month ago, Google announced the launch of their operating system for low-end smartphones. With data-saving feature and apps optimisation, Google Android Go can become the most popular low-end OS in 2018. On the other hand, we also catch the news about a possible HMD’s handset sporting this operating system. According to a Russian journalist, Eldar Murtazin, HMD Global will be releasing a brand new Nokia 1 handset next year!

Firstly, let’s check out what this Nokia handset will offer! Regarding the display, Nokia 1 specs will include a 5.0-inch LTPS IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. Furthermore, the screen is going to have the 16:9 ratio and resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, this Nokia handset takes power from a Qualcomm MSM8909v2 Snapdragon 212 chipset. Regarding the storage, this Nokia phone offers only 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM. There is also an expandable 128GB ROM via microSD.

In terms of the photography, Nokia 1 camera includes an 8MP primary camera (autofocus, LED flash) and a 5MP secondary shooter. Moreover, it also has features like Geo-tagging, touch focus, autofocus and LED flash. The Nokia 1 and Android Go is the pocket-friendly handset for regions with low bandwidth and poor internet. On the other hand, Google Android GO also provides stock apps but in a more condensed form. Furthermore, we received the news about an Indian phone manufacturer – Lava – also revealed its plan to release an Android Go handset for India.
