Nokia 6.1 video hands-on

Just like its predecessor, the Nokia mid-range handset has a solid metal construction with sharp edges, flat sides and a thin profile. Overall, the design of the 6.1 feels sturdy, but those sharp edges give a more masculine look. Meanwhile, since it is part of Google’s Android One program, we can get a stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo. Whereas, the device has the name since it is a rebranded version of the Nokia 6 (2018) designed for the US.

As expected, the Android Oreo 8.1 supports timely software updates and free unlimited Google Photos storage for both images and videos with minimal compression. Besides, the Nokia 6.1 boasts dual-SIM capabilities, NFC support, 3,000mAh battery, and Bluetooth 5.0 as well. Furthermore, the Nokia handset comes with an aluminium unibody design with a famous German optics company Carl Zeiss on the back.

For that modest sum, Nokia 6.1 camera comes with a 16-megapixel (f/2.0) sensor on the rear. Meanwhile, there would be an 8-megapixel (f/2.0) front-facing sensor. Under the hood, you’re getting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 630 SoC alongside 3GB of RAM. On the other hand, there are 32GB of flash memory expandable by up to 256GB via a microSD card. Moreover, HMD opted to stick with the traditional 16:9 aspect ratio for the 5.5-inch FHD screen. Fortunately, we would see the 3.5mm headphone jack to remain on this variant.
