A few days ago, HMD Global launched the new mid-range Nokia X71 at an event in Taiwan. The company is now set to announce its upcoming smartphone, the 8.1 Plus. In details, this phone comes with the model number TA-1188. Recently, the 8.1 Plus surfaced on TENAA, showing some images. In details, the new Nokia smartphone could be the first device after Nokia 9 PureView to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.

On the front, the Nokia 8.1 Plus has a punch-hole design, similar to the sibling Nokia X71. Besides, this phone is going to pack a triple rear camera instead of the dual camera setup. Furthermore, the Nokia smartphone also sports a LED flash and Nokia branding on its rear panel. In addition, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
