Nokia and Xiaomi have just released their smartphone recently, the Nokia 8 and the Mi 6. Surprisingly, these two devices have some similarities in their specs. Even their size is not that different, with the Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch 2K LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. On the other hand, the Chinese smartphone 5.15-inch screen with a 1080-pixel display. Additionally, both devices run Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Good news for Nokia and Xiaomi out there: the two smartphones are going to have their Android Oreo update in the future.

Things starts to get more similar when we look under the hood of these handsets. Both Nokia 8 and Xiaomi Mi 6 adopts the powerful Snapdragon 835 processor. Furthermore, they both have 2 variants: 4GB RAM – 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM – 128GB ROM. However, the Finnish phone has an expandable internal storage, while its counterpart doesn’t. In term of battery, Xiaomi is the clear winner with a decent 3350 mAh battery, whereas its rival only has a 3090 mAh battery.

Speaking of the photography system, both handsets sport a dual rear camera setup. Nokia 8 phone sports two 13MP cameras, developed in partnership with Carl Zeiss. The Nokia 8’s front camera is the same 13MP shooter, and both front and rear cameras are capable of recording 4K video on their own. On the other hand, the Mi 6 features a 12MP wide angle lens and a 12MP “telephoto” lens just like another flagship, the LG G6. The Selfie camera on the Xiaomi Mi 6 is an 8MP shooter which is capable of shooting 1080p videos.
