At the MWC 2019 event, HMD Global finally unveiled the first ever Nokia phone which equips a penta-lens camera system under the name Nokia 9 PureView. Notably, this handset marked the return of the iconic PureView branding to many loyal Nokia fans! This April, the Nokia smartphone reached the hand of various users, and review has started to pour in. So far, here are what we can state in our Nokia 9 PureView review!

On the front, the new Nokia phone packs a great 6-inch OLED display with the resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~538 ppi density). Besides, the Finnish brand decided to forgo the notch on the front for the common bezel area which can hold the front camera sensor. On the back, the five camera modules place in a circle. There is also the fingerprint scanner in the bunch. However, it doesn’t look good at first.

 

Let’s take a look at the Nokia 9 PureView specs. The Nokia smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the other hand, Nokia 9 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset as the processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (no card slot). Moreover, the Nokia device carries a non-removable 3320mAh juice box and supports wireless charging as well. Regarding the software department, the Android One flagship ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie as the operating system. How about the camera system? The Nokia 9 PureView camera has five cameras certified by Zeiss, consisting of three 12MP (f/1.8) monochrome sensors and two 12MP (f/1.8) RGB sensors on the back. On the front, there is a single 20MP selfie shooter. As for the connectivity options, this phone supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi, AGPS, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port.
