Nokia smartphone 2016: all you need to know

News about Nokia smartphone has been all over the internet for the past months, and keeps on going around. Now that the very first official press render of Nokia Android phone has shown up, let’s take a look of all you need to know about this grand event.

1. Nokia smartphone 2016: Nokia P1 is spotted

Nokia obviously had some tough time during the past years. However, the future seems bright with their grand coming back, set to happen in H2 2016. So from what we know thus far, the company is already working on their first smartphone, which was confirmed to base on the most popular operating system – Android. And we even got the first batch of details about the phone, allegedly named Nokia P1.

When the image, which was believed to be Nokia P1 press render was first spotted, it created a huge buzz. People then realized it looks pretty much the same as Sharp Aquos P1. To give a better background information about this, Sharp is now owned by Foxconn, which just built up a business partnership with the Finnish Tech Giant. So far, our sources are suggesting that, Nokia P1 will be a re-branded version of Sharp Aquos P1, with similar, or exact same specs. Nokia P1 will be launched first in Europ this year. Nokia P1 specs, therefore, include:  3GB RAM, SND 820 processor, a 5.3 inch FHD display and 32GB of ROM which can be expandable. There is also a 22.6MP main camera and a 3,000 mAH battery on board.

2. Nokia will not involve in the whole process

I am quite sure this part is still a mystery to many of us. Please keep in mind that, although Nokia still bring their name on the device, they will not be involved in the whole manufacturing process. Thats where Foxconn came in. Foxconn is now the owner of Infocus/Sharp will take care of the design and making of this Android Nokia smartphone. By standing the name, Nokia will make sure the machine lives up to their demands and quality requirements.

3. Nokia P1 Release date and Price

Although it looks really official now, Nokia P1 release date is still far from getting final confirmation. That being said, Nokia will end their contract with Microsoft from Q3 2016, which is right now. However, it will take them a while until they can actually solve the issue and get started on a new thing, which, in this case, is launching the P1 mobile. So, stay tuned, but keep in mind that, maybe we have to be a bit patient until the day we see Nokia P1 on our hand. For Nokia P1 price, it is strongly believed that Nokia target this time will be very affordable. As they didn’t really succeed with the premium mobiles from the past, it is better to start small and friendly so more people can get to know their products.

4. Nokia C1 is still widely expected

Considering the situation right now, it seems really posible that Nokia P1 will be the first Android Nokia smartphone to launch, after their contract with Microsoft ended. However, users have yet to forget about the long rumored Nokia C1. Earlier, this beast has been expected to be the first mobile Nokia choose for their come back. And people have grown so much interest towards this beast, that for now it is still one of the most popular names when talking about Nokia smartphone. Nokia C1 specs include: 5.5-inch Full HD screen, powerful 4GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage. As for the camera, there said to be a 20MP Pureview main shooter combined with an 8MP selfie shooter. More excitingly, the phone is expected to run both Android and Windows OS, giving users a 1-0-2 experience.

Just a few years ago, Nokia used to be the biggest thing we knew about smartphones. That explains why they are still widely loved by users all around the world, despite the fact that they failed tragically with their Microsoft partnership. We surely love the Giant and would be as patient as we can to eye-witness their glorious comeback!
