Today, we came across the latest updates on the first member of the OnePlus 16 lineup. Based on the latest report, the Chinese company is starting the work on its new OnePlus 16 beast. Firstly, the new OnePlus beast is coming with a 200Hz+ display. Moreover, it is going to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. Under the hood, it should come with the Android 16 operating system.

For the color, the OnePlus beast can arrive with three options: Black, Purple, and Titanium. Regarding the storage, it offers 12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of ROM. For now, there is no mention of a microSD card slot. Let’s move on to the photography setup. Firstly, the OnePlus 16 camera is reportedly packing triple 200MP + 50MP + 50MP rear snappers.

At the front, it has a 32MP selfie lens. Regarding the battery, the Chinese smartphone carries a 7000mAh battery with 100W wired charging support. For the color options, we are looking at some interesting choices like Black Eclipse, Arctic Dawn, and Midnight Ocean. Last but not least, the OnePlus 16 has adopted a new design: rounded corners with a rectangle-shaped camera island. It has dropped the large camera island and the usual Hasselblad co-branding.

For now, our sources have hinted that this device release date is set for the third quarter of this year.
