As the Galaxy S24 series release date gets closer, most of the attention is on Samsung’s new top-tier phone. This week, we have come across what seem to be the official pictures of the Galaxy A55, which is likely to be a more affordable option than the S24 and might come after it. First, it’s worth mentioning the distinctive “Key Island” bump that accommodates the power and volume buttons. This raised and asymmetrical design was initially introduced with the Galaxy A15 and the Galaxy A25, although those phones were released with little attention.
Aside from the Key Island, the phone’s sides look flat, with rounded edges and an aluminum frame. Also, the back appears flat, though with slightly protruding, individually-embedded cameras. Although the report does not shed light on the Samsung Galaxy A55 camera department, we expect it to have a 50MP main camera and ultra-wide and macro units like the Galaxy A54 from last year. Regarding the display, the Samsung Galaxy A55 specs flaunt a 6.5-inch FHD display with 2,220 x 1,080 pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. However, the operating system running on this phone is uncertain.
