Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 spotted on Geekbench!

Samsung is going to renew the J series smartphones this year, making the 2017 versions out of all the J smartphones. Among them is the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017. Just not long ago, Samsung has managed to acquired the Wifi certification for the phone. Now, the phone in question has appeared on a benchmarking website, allowing us to have a good look at what the phone offers!

Considering the segment that the J series go for, the Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 specs are decent. It will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC at its core, clocked at 1.59GHz. Accompanying that will be 2GB of RAM. We can see that the phone has sufficient power to handle daily tasks. Additionally, the phone will run Android Nougat 7.0, the latest Android OS, as well. This is a great plus for a phone in the mid-range segment.

It is quite interesting, because in the previous Wifi certification, Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 was listed as running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. From this benchmark, we can see that the phone has a straight upgrade in terms of operating system. Currently, there is no other information regarding the phone, and we will just have to wait for official words from Samsung. Hopefully they will reveal more about this phone soon.
