Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus hits Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 chip, Android 8.0!

Geekbench has just spotted the Samsung Galaxy J8 (SM-J805G version) with a different chipset. This variant could be considered as a “Plus” model, Galaxy J8+, with a slightly faster chipset and more memory. Its previous model (SM-J800FN version) runs on an Exynos 7870 chipset while this Plus version now will take power from a Snapdragon 625. Moreover, the Galaxy J8 Plus is likely to have 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

In terms of Geekbench 4 score, Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus scored a multi-core result of 3708. Meanwhile, its single-core test produced a score of 749. These results are slightly higher than those of its previous version with multi-core score at 3643 and single-core score at 726. On top of that, this J series of Samsung is said to be the medium-budget products for the Indian market in order to compete with its rival, the Xiaomi.

In terms of the display, the phone may feature a 5.5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. For the operating system, both Samsung Galaxy J8 and its Plus variant will run Android 8.0 Oreo. Besides, Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus camera can be a 12MP lens with the autofocus system coming with an 8MP selfie snapper. In addition, the device possibly owns a 3500 MHz battery.
