Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ got certified, to release on August 12?

As a tradition found in previous years, Samsung usually launched there Note series during IFA event in early September. However, since the iPhone 6S has been announced and is receiving a lot of attention, Samsung seem to want an early start in sales for their upcoming flagships: the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Both devices are said to be launch in an event on August 12 and go straight on sale before the end of the month.

To prepare for the important release, both smartphones have just went through certification process in Singapore’s IDA database. Completing that, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ carry model number SM-N920I and SM-G928I respectively.

Let us talk a bit about the  Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ design. Both devices are confirmed to carry a metal unibody with premium glass like the popular Galaxy S6/S6 Edge. This also implies that their batteries will be non-removable and they may not have expandable mircoSD card slots.

Briefing in terms of Galaxy Note 5 specs, the smartphone features a 5.7” with beautiful Quad HD display. The Note 5 will also run Samsung Exynos chipset with octa-core processor. Other specs like RAM and battery are not finalized yet, but we really expect the device to come with 4GB RAM and a huge 4,100 mAH.

Now it’s Galaxy S6 Edge+ turn for some specs reveal. The flagship will be carrying a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor just like the LG G4 with Exynos 7420 chipset and 3GB of RAM. For now, you maybe wondering what are the differences between the S6 Edge+ and its predecessor standard S6 Edge. What we know so far is that, the Plus version will have a slightly larger screen (5.4” compared to 5.3”) and a bigger battery (3,000 mAH).

Philippines is a good market of Samsung. And because of that, we can totally expect the couple flagship to arrive locally in around September, after they hit the shelves in their hometown Korea.
