Samsung Galaxy S7 phone is getting updated: 4GB RAM, 12MP, 5.1″ QHD …

Samsung Galaxy s7 phone specs: 5.1-inch QHD

When it came out, the Samsung Galaxy S7 got everything right for the customer. 5.1 inches seems a little bit small. But with Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) resolution, it resulted in 577 pixels/inch density. So in the end, this is a rare case of “less is more.” A smaller screen produces a sharper image. Moreover, Samsung has refined the design with more curves and aluminum glass back, so the phone gives exactly the feel of a luxurious flagship.

The look wasn’t the only thing the Samsung got right. On the inside, there is the Exynos 8890 chipset instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon. However, It turned out surprisingly well. The Samsung Galaxy S7 RAM measures 4GB which is still the conventional amount. Two storage options are available: 32GB and 64GB. Both can be expanded with a MicroSD. The battery sports 3000 mAh and doesn’t seem enough. But yet again, the Galaxy S7 defied expectation with 80h hours in an endurance test.

For the camera, the Samsung Galaxy S7 features a 12MP single with f/1.7 aperture. The selfie camera has a 5MP resolution. Surely, this is no longer on the same level as the current dual cameras. However, it is still too soon to disregard it completely. Mostly, it is because there aren’t that many single cameras that surpass it before dual cam becomes the trend.

Samsung Galaxy S7 phone update: It’s going to take a while.

It is likely that an update to Android 8 Oreo is there for the Galaxy S7. However, Samsung’s product portfolio is massive and newest flagships takes priority. So we might not see an update at least until Q3 2018.
