Samsung Galaxy S9 with Exynos chip has a bad battery life!

Back in February, Samsung stole the show with the presentation of their two Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus flagships. Notably, these two Galaxy phones arrive with two processor options: Exynos 9810 Octa – EMEA or Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 – USA & China. However, the Galaxy S9 with Exynos chipset seems to have a bad battery life based on a recent investigation. After the research, this variant of Galaxy S9’s battery life is even worse than its predecessors Galaxy S8.

In details, the Galaxy S9 with Exynos chip shows an approximately 12% decline in battery life. Furthermore, AnandTech test reveals a much more significant percentage of more than 30%. Then, what could be the reason? Firstly, there are the battery losses in the Exynos M3 CPU cores. Furthermore, the main issue is within the new Exynos 9810 chip itself. At the high clock speeds, the processor uses way more resources than competitors. Besides, there seems to be power leakage.
