The South Korean electronics giant has launched the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) smartphones in India. Samsung’s new Galaxy A-series models are updated variants of the Galaxy A-series 2016. Let’s check them out.

Like in many other countries is Samsung one of the most popular phone brands in India. Now, the company launched its latest A-series in the country. These devices are upgraded versions of the Galaxy A-series (2016) which were released in December 2015.

Let’s review the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) again: It sports with a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Under the hood, there a 1.9GHz Exynos 7880 Octa CPU Mali-T830MP3 GP processor with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB of ROM via a microSD card. In terms of photography, the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features a 16MP camera on the rear and front. Moreover, other specs include a 3,000 mAh cell as well as Android Marshmallow out of the box.

As for Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) specifications, the phone features similar specs and features as the Galaxy A5 (2017), except a bigger 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen and a larger battery with a capacity of 3,600mAh. Another special features is the IP68 certification of the Samsung’s new Galaxy A-series that means they are dust and water proof over 1.5 meter and 30 minutes, as well.

With their Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017), the company is aiming at the mid-range market. They will be the tough rival to the other handsets. The new A-series has been priced at Rs 28,990 and Rs 33,490 in India and will be available in two beautiful color options – Black Sky and Gold Sand across the country starting from March 15. The handsets are available for pre-order starting March 7 via the Samsung e-store as well as offline retailers.
