After iPhone SE was officially released, Antutu also announced the benchmark result of the smartphone. According to that, iPhone SE, with 2GB RAM and A9 chip set, scored up to 134.358 points on Antutu Benchmark, which is slightly higher than that of iPhone 6s/6s Plus (with 132.620 points) and far ahead of iphone 6/6Plus (with 80.554 points). With such a score, iPhone SE, as said by Apple when they promoted their new device (source), is currently the strongest 4 inch smartphone of today.

Not only is iPhone SE the most powerful smartphone of its own 4-inch display category, but it is also stronger than many other bigger devices. Specs wise, iPhone SE is said to feature mostly the same with premium iPhone 6S, minus the 3D Touch function. This means under the 4 inch screen, there is 2GB RAM, Apple A9 chip set, dual core, 12MP camera on the back and 1.2 MP shooter on the front. The phone comes in 2 variants: 16GB and 64GB and can be chosen between Gray, Silver, Gold or Rose Gold options.

Recently, an alleged photo of its retail box has been spotted, showing that actually the handset will come with the name “iPhone SE” instead of “iPhone 5se”. Besides, we also notice it’s gonna feature 16GB ROM for sure, yet hopefully there will be a 64GB version as well. New iPhone model: 5.8 inch and OLED display

According to Digitimes, Apple is planning on producing a bigger model of iPhone, which will feature a 5.8 inch OLED display. Ever since we heard that Apple had the intention to adapt OLED screen for their smartphone, the internet has been guessing when it will be ready to launch. If it’s true to what we are guessing, we will soon see this new option on iPhone soon. The time could be right now or any time in the near future.

Also in the same article, Digitimes mentioned that, the 5.8 inch iPhone could be named iPhone Pro. No further word about the iPhone Pro specs, or its design has been unveiled. However, from what we know about Apple, it won’t be too much to say iPhone Pro will have an awesome design with premium rears and a classy look. However, looks like we will not see iPhone Pro with 5.8 inch display any time sooner than 2017.

Design-wise, it is said that the iPhone 6C will apply the aluminum body of Apple iPhone 5S or the candy-colored polycarbonate one of Apple iPhone 5C. However, looking at the pics, we guess Ferry Passchier has been inspired by colorful polycarbonate frame to make the device a more welcome sight instead of the usual colors like silver, space grey, gold, and rose gold of the aluminum material. It is also considered as the Apple’s first entry into a crowded phone accessory market. The Smart Battery Case’s main duty is to give up to 18 hours of 4G LTE Web browsing, up from 10 hours for the iPhone 6S on its own which is an 80% boost (since iPhone 6S battery is capable of 1,877mAh). And it is also compatible with Apple iPhone 6.

At first, this sounded like a great deal for those who are using an iPhone, but once seeing its design, we are not sure that Apple has made a right choice when they decided to release the Smart Battery Case. According to  many people, the case is not successful in increasing the premium look of the iPhone. It even makes the whole handset a lot thicker and the additional battery does not allow you to listen to music while the phone is being charged, which causes more inconvenience.

The new case supposed to bring the best technological and aesthetic advancements now seems to lose its usability and beauty. Some think it could have been affected by patent disputes. Apple’s been involved in numerous of these with their big competitor Samsung, and perhaps they changed the case’s look so much to avoid problems from other accessory making companies.

Price and availability

Now, Apple iPhone’s Smart Battery Case price is at $99 in the US through the Apple store, £79 in the UK and AU$165 in Australia. We cannot deny that it is more expensive than other competitors which only cost around $50. Anyhow, we hope the company will do better next time when they are about to announce a case for iPhone 7 or 7S.
