1. Lenovo ZUK Z1 – 4,100mAh

ZUK is a brand backed by one of the biggest smartphone makers in the mobile world Lenovo. As we all know, they has just released a 6GB RAM handset and been receiving much positive feedback. Though, there is one thing that the ZUK Z2 Pro cannot be as strong as its elder sibling ZUK Z1. It is battery. Specifically, Lenovo ZUK Z1 specs include an up to 4,100mAh cell to support maximum hours of use.

Besides, it also sports a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of ROM (non-expandable), CyanogenMod 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS (upgradable to Marshmallow soon), and fast charging tech. The Lenovo ZUK Z1 camera sensors are very trendy also, with a 13MP rear and an 8MP front shooter.

ASUS Z1 Titan VS Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro

ASUS Z1 Titan VS Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro: 6GB RAM beasts

The first thing we can notice immediately about these guys is that each of them represents the best reputation of its own company. However, we guess the Z1 Titan is somehow more outstanding in terms of appearance due to looking like a gaming smartphone. Yet, if you’re seeking an elegant handset, Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro can be more suitable.

Apart from 6GB of RAM, it seems like ASUS Z1 Titan specs and Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro specs are very different. While the Z1 Titan is said to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 2K screen, the Z2 Pro just comes with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display. Obviously the ASUS phone is better at this point. Moreover, it also beats the rival at processor, battery, ROM capacity, and rear camera: SD830 chip vs SD820 chip, 3,500mAh vs 3,100mAh, 256GB vs 128GB, and 16MP vs 13MP. Though, the ZUK machine does have one thing that is more excellent than the Titan. It is its 8MP selfie snapper.

ASUS Z1 Titan VS Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro

In general, both ASUS Z1 Titan and Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro great models. Nonetheless, if there must be a winner, we have to say the Z1 Titan is the one.

The one we want to talk about is Lenovo ZUK Z2, a successor to Lenovo ZUK Z1 debuting in August 2015. Actually it was confirmed long ago, but it is recently that much information of the handset has been unveiled. Speaking specifically, a model dubbed Z2121 appeared on Antutu benchmark with some detailed features. However, some say it is Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro, not the original machine. Anyway, we are so glad to know that the phone will come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip.

In addition to the Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro specs, basically there will be a Full HD display, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box, 3/4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory (we hope it can be expanded via microSD card slot). Although Antutu did not reveal a full sheet of the ZUK Z2 Pro’s hardware, it still totally can become a powerful competitor on the shelves. Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro price and availability

Despite not knowing whether that is ZUK Z2 or Z2 Pro, or they are just one, you only have to wait a few more days to see it since the launch will officially take place on April 21, 2016. This was claimed by the Chinese company’s CEO Chang Cheng on Weibo. For the price, we predict it will cost around $360 to compete well with many other 4GB RAM smartphones out there.

Recently, we have been able to spot a new model we consider as a more advanced variant of Lenovo Vibe Shot for 2016. Speaking specifically, DeviantArt user r4yNTv was the one who created and named this Alpha. You may think its design is the same as the Shot, but in fact, Alpha boasts a thinner bezels, an anodized aluminum frame and chamfered edges on both sides; the logo and the camera cluster on the back are also a bit different if you look closely. Anyhow, Lenovo Vibe Alpha still keeps the unique appearance of the original handset. That’s cool, rite?!

As for Lenovo Vibe Alpha specs, it is said to come with mid-range features and some “nifty display technologies”. Specifically, the phone will pack a 5.0-inch Full HD screen from JDI (AH-IPS) with 90% NTSC color space and 1500:1 contrast ratio. Moreover, according to the source, there are modern technologies such as MediaTek MiraVision Display Engine, color tuning feature, ClearMotion 60 FPS, Asahi Dragontrail-X Cover Glass, and Synaptics ClearPad 3700 touchscreen controller on board to bring users excellent experience with the Alpha’s display.

Lenovo Vibe Alpha

For the rest, we note that the machine will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 paired with Vulkan API-ready G6200 GPU, IP67 rating, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, a 3,400mAh battery supporting fast charging tech, 3GB of RAM plus 32GB of internal storage. In terms of camera, the main one is capable of 16 megapixels with f/2.2, Samsung Britecell sensor plus 0.1s PDAF. Additionally, the front snapper has an 8MP sensor, f/2.2 and more than 80° Wide-Angle Lens to give you great selfies.

Lenovo Vibe Alpha price and availability

We have not been informed of the official Lenovo Vibe Alpha launch date as well as its price. Though, we predict that like the Vibe Shot released in June 2015, the Alpha can debut some time at the end of the Q2 or in the Q3 of 2016. For the cost, it will probably be priced at $360. What do you think?

Lenovo ZUK Z1 – sandalwood edition

Our reports in China has confirmed that, ZUK is offering some very nice saving for their first generation of smartphone, the ZUK Z1. The phone comes with a favorable (low) price and a new design. ZUK Z1 was initially launched in late 2015 with only 2 color options: White and Grey. This time, the company rolled out a limited edition with Sandalwood back cover of the phone in China. This version has a wood grain rear panel with a black face.

Together with a new design, ZUK Z1 2016 will have some updates to fit your interest too. The Sandalwood version is re-installed with Android 6.0.1 OS, which is matched with an enhanced version of ZUK’s ZUI system. Other ZUK Z1 specs remain the same as we know before. It means you will have a 5.5 inch display, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and a huge 4,100 mAH battery. ZUK Z1 also packs a 8MP pixel front camera with a 13MP shooter on the back.

12705514_825728180904931_2595827540823048939_n

ZUK Z1 is an excellent representative for what Lenovo wants to be known about: a huge battery, favorable specs, decent design for a competitive price tag. ZUK Z1 smartphone is back on sale in China for only 1599 Yuan, which is around PHP 11,5K and Rs 16,5K equivalently. And you get up to 64GB for internal storage.

Lenovo ZUK Z1 – super affordable for a new design

With a new, limited design, a fast update to the latest Android OS, still the same package of good specs, still an attractive price tag, do you think ZUK Z1 will be selling well in the market this year? And we personally hope that Lenovo will also launch this mobile to other Asian and international markets in the near future.

Lenovo to launch a 4.7 inch ZUK smartphone

ZUK, a sub-brand company of Lenovo, has just revealed some interesting news for us. Latest rumors are suggesting that they are working on a mini smartphone with a handy display of 4.7 inch.

ZUK-Z1_4

4.7 inch ZUK smartphone – direct rival to iPhone 5se

We don’t know yet about this handy ZUK smartphone. However, our sources are saying that, there will be 2 versions for users to choose: a 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM with 32GB of built-in memory. This is a great news for those who consider over 5.0 inch smartphones rather big and bulky, as well as those who are a fan of Lenovo and ZUK smartphone.

Specs wise, the new Lenovo smartphone will run on a Helio X10 chip set by MediaTek, with 8 cores clocks at 2 GHz. There said to be a fingerprint scanner and inherit the design from best-selling ZUK Z1 smartphone. With the official news from Apple about their upcoming iPhone 5se – also packing a 4.7 inch display, is this ZUK phone meant to be a direct rival to the 5se? We will see soon 🙂

Apart from what we have written above, there is not much to be said about the phone. However, unlike ZUK Z1, which only went through China and some other near-by market, this time, we are expecting an international version of the phone, which runs Cyanogen OS.

4.7 inch ZUK smartphone – bringing back a trend?

After a while, seems like smartphones with rather small displays are coming back to be trendy, for its convenience as well as handiness. We can’t wait to know further about the new 4.7 inch ZUK phone, as well as its release date and price (which will absolutely be much more affordable than iPhone 5se). Personally, do you prefer a smartphone with a maximum display space, or a handy one that fit in and feels convenient to hold?
