Lenovo smartphones will no longer be exclusively produced in China
Lenovo is a renown Chinese producers. And their products are all manufactured in China. And recent reports are suggesting that Lenovo will be heading to another country to build an extra factory…

Lenovo smartphones: India is a potential market
And the country is India. According to our source, another Lenovo factory will be built in Tamil Nadu to produce smartphones in the future, with their familiar brands Moto and Vibe. Sudhin Mathur, Lenovo India’s head of the smartphone department, said : “Outside China, India is the only country where we are manufacturing both Moto and Lenovo phones. We intend to enhance our manufacturing capabilities in India and in 2016, more than half of the smartphones we sell here would be Made in India”
The reasons for this is pretty obvious. Firstly, India was one of the biggest smartphone markets that consumed the most smartphones in the past years, making it a very potential target, not only for Lenovo, but also other producers. And Lenovo chose to build an extra factory in order to boost their sale in India this 2016. Secondly, a research conducted by Canalys & IDC, Lenovo is ranking 3rd in this market, only after Samsung and Micromax (which is a local brand).

After taking over Motorola and making a huge decision as to expand the market to India, Lenovo is expecting a great development for their business in this new year. If this does not convince you yet about how seriously Lenovo is playing this game, take a look at all the smartphones they launched just in the first 2 months of the year.
