Early morning of March 7, the first batch of Nokia 7 Plus in China official arrived through various Chinese online stores. Before that, almost 200,000 users at JD.com and over 50,000 customers at Suning.com have registered for the first flash sale. The phone sold for CNY 2,300 for the 4GB/64GB version. Whereas the 6GB/64GB version has the price of CNY 2,500. That’s $296 ~ Rs 19,235 and $394 ~ Rs 25,636 respectively.

According to a source, another batch of Nokia 7 Plus will available in about a week (March 15 at 10:07 am). The chances are that the new batch will be gone just as quickly as the first one. Of course, neither HMD nor the stores will say how many phones are there this time. JioPhone emerges as the leader in Indian feature phone market!

Based on the recent report of CMR, Indian market witnessed some significant changes last year. Notably, JioPhone has now become the market leader in the feature phone segment. In details, this India brand now consists up to 27% of market share, followed by Samsung with 14%. “JioPhone has a major growth driver for the Quarter 4 in 2017. Additionally, their shipments gained more than five-fold. Besides, the new trend led to a surge in market share of feature phones.”

On another note, with locally-manufactured JioPhone handsets hitting the market in coming quarters, this vendor is expected to better their performance. Narinder Kumar, an analyst at CMR-Industry Intelligence Group (IIG), shared in a statement. On the other hand, India feature phone market sports a 36% increase in Quarter 4 of 2018. In details, the Indian smartphone market recorded a 19% sequential decline (30 million units shipped).

According to an analyst firm Counterpoint Research, Nokia handsets shipment reached 21.5 million units in the fourth quarter of 2017. in the third quarter of 2017, 16.3 million Nokia handsets were sold, increasing up to 32% in the fourth quarter.

According to the analysis:“Nokia HMD shipped 21.5 million handsets in Q4 2017 and ranked 7th among the top ten handset brands during the quarter.
