People are getting very excited for the Nokia comeback next year, especially when it was confirmed. Recently, it has been reported that for the new Nokia Android phone will be a close collaboration between Nokia and Google!
New Nokia Android phone will be collaborated with Google!
It is no secret now that Nokia will return to the smartphone market. The Finnish company has confirmed its comeback in MWC next year. HMD has been licensed by Nokia to be in charge of the giant’s phone brand. HMD seems very fitting to do this task, having a global presence with 40 offices all over the world. However, HMD will not do this task of bringing glory back to Nokia alone, as it has just been revealed that the company will work closely with Google on the release of this new Nokia Android phone.
HMD Global CEO Arto Nummela has told Reuters that there will be extensive collaboration with Google at least for the first few Nokia smartphones. Not much has been revealed about the involvement, however, we can speculate what advice Google would give to a new Android player, especially one that has been in the market for too long. Nummela has stated that HMD will not rely on goodwill and nostalgia to make customers buy the phone, but what Nokia has always done best: best battery life, extreme durability and user friendliness.
Nummela has talked with Bloomberg, and reinstated that the Nokia brand is known for its “simplicity, ease of use, reliability and quality”. HMD will make innovations where possible, while retaining what were the best features of Nokia phones. We can expect the new Nokia Android phone to have something close to stock or near-stock Android, like what Moto has done. There would be no software junks (as it should be). This would be contrary to the BlackBerry Priv, as the phone has tried to do “too much” and failed, even though it is a very good phone.
New Nokia Android phone: Anticipation building everyday
One of the features people would like to see in the new Nokia Android phone is the camera quality on those Lumia devices. As much as Nokia and Microsoft has completed their deal, this is a feature that HMD will likely incorporate. HMD will only do the designing and marketing, while the production will be left to Foxconn. With the direction to stay true to the Nokia image as much as possible, it is very exciting to see what HMD can do the the brand Nokia. Are you excited for the new Nokia phone?

Nokia is gradually warming the smartphone market with a lot of new information. After Nokia D1C was revealed with multiple images, configuration details, the GeekBenh scores of a very new Nokia low-end smartphone, named Nokia Pixel, were also leaked yesterday.
Nokia Pixel: specs and GeekBench scores
It seems that in the near future time, Nokia will launch so many smartphones. Just few days ago, an informative source said that Nokia will launch two new high-end smartphones with accordingly 5.2 inch and 5.5 inch 2K resolution screens, running Snapdragon 820. These phones are believed to be tough rivals against many flagships from Apple, Samsung. And just yesterday, an other low-end Nokia smartphone was been leaked its specs on GeekBench.
The name of the phone model listed on GeekBench is “Nokia Pixel”. This model has quite low configurations with Snapdragon 200 chipset and 2 cores running at 1.19 GHz speed along with the Adreno 302 graphic GPU. The strangest thing we want to notify is its 1GB RAM, which is very low compared to other budget phones now. In addition, the device also supports Quick Charge 3.0 and gets Android OS 7.0.1 preinstalled.
Compared to Nokia D1C’s unveiled GeekBench scores not long ago, Nokia Pixel is much inferior when it reached only 404 points in single-core test and 661 points in multi-core test. Meanwhile, Nokia D1C reached 682 points and 3229 points in those test arcordingly. This is quite understandable when Nokia D1C using Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics chip and up to 3 GB RAM.
Nokia Pixel: A new Nokia budget smartphone
With those “utopian” specs, Nokia Pixel is a promising budget smartphone, which once again proves our prediction that Nokia will focus on emerging market like India, where low-price phones are needed, especially a budget phone from the giant Nokia!
