Nokia XL 2 leak immediately went viral because of its design. It looks undeniably alike to the well known Nokia Lumia 930 in terms of appearance. The metal frame, thickness and dimension all look pretty familiar to its sibling. We would also like to notice that, there are the typical capacitive home buttons on the front that help distinguish Nokia X series to other smartphones.

Talking about Nokia XL 2 specs, our sources suggest a handy 5-inch display that sports 720p resolution. Other than that, there is no confirmation about RAM and other features. However, with 720p resolution, the phone is said to fit in the lower-range smartphone category. Therefore, we are guessing that Nokia XL 2 will pack 2GB RAM, around 20MP camera Pureview and at least 3,000 mAH battery. And most importantly, the phone will be powered by Android OS – currently the most popular operating system in the market.

Nokia C1 design: stunning, realistic, fashionable

Earlier we know about Nokia C1 as a miniature version of Nokia N1 tablet, with similar design and synced feature. The latest Nokia C1 design render published by Techconfigurations seems to be proving it true. At first glance, Nokia C1 design looks like that of a classic elegant Android smartphone with alloy body with the combination of a premium glass screen. Such choice of material gives the phone a feel of high fashion yet still solid as a machine.

Also according to the same source, Nokia C1 specs will include 5.5 inch full HD display. This screen is protected by high-quality 2.5D glass. There is 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage to power the phone. As for the camera, there will be 13MP on the back and 5MP on the front. The report didn’t clarify whether this Nokia C1 design will be featuring Pureview sensor for it main shooter. But we really hope to see the Pureview on this Android Nokia phone, as this is such a cool feature everyone falls in love with. Nokia C1 price has not been specified yet, but will be no more than USD 300, as Nokia planned to target the budget market the moment they get back.

Nokia C1 will be running over Android Marshmallow by the time it is launched. There is a customized Z Launcher UI to distinguish the smartphone from others. More interestingly, we also heard that, there seems to be a “compact” version of this mobile. The variant is slightly smaller with 5 inch display, slightly lower end with 2GB RAM and 32GB ROM. However, this is yet to be confirmed by the company.

The expanded agreement provides greater access to each company’s patented technologies. Since then, Nokia’s business seems to change much, in a positive way.

Notably, Nokia used to buy Siemens and make it be Nokia Siemens Networks. So did Alcatel-Lucent, a rival equipment maker, which boosted Samsung partner revenue with $16 million. With the acquisition, Nokia also gained access to Alcatel’s massive patent kit. The agreement announced today may create a positive impact to the net sales of Nokia starting from the third quarter of 2016.

On the other hand, Samsung also some benefits since Nokia intellectual property portfolios are many, from Nokia Technologies, Nokia Networks and Alcatel-Lucent. And Samsung has become one of Nokia huge patent portfolios. The Samsung partner is making sure it continues earning more money by additional patents. Nokia expects its revenue of around $1 billion with such deal. This patent cross-licensing expansion will allow Samsung and Nokia to develop, which is a good news for purchasers.

Both Samsung and Nokia still keep silent about the exact list of patents are being covered under this fresh agreement, as well as the new specific listings.
