Samsung sales is no longer top 5 in China
In the past few months, Samsung is having the tough times. This Korean giant has involved in many explosions, from Note 7 to washing machine. Because of those unfortunate incidents, Samsung sales is now out of top 5 in the Chinese market.

Samsung sales: out of top 5 in China
Back in 2013, Samsung is the King smartphone brand in China. This Korean company took the 17.3% market shares in the most populated country in the world. Samsung brand was always one of the top choices for many users, from mid-rangers to high-end flagships. It had been the Samsung prime time until Xiaomi took the spotlight. Xiaomi just had 5% of market shares in 2013. However, this number had increased to 12.5% in the next year. At the same time, Samsung market shares decreased by 6%. In the result of this loss, Samsung fell back at the 2nd position.
Everything was getting harder and harder for Samsung in the next couple of years. The Korean brand had to compete with Xiaomi in the budget segment, Huawei in the mid-range price group, and Apple in the high-end category. Samsung also had to challenge with other Chinese smartphones that offer strong specs at more affordable price. What will be will be! Samsung sales is now out of the top 5 biggest smartphone brands in China. The latest top 5 in the list are Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and Apple.

This September, Samsung released their long-awaited flagship- Galaxy Note 7 with all premium specs. For such a long time, it was expected to bring the company back to the top 5 phone brands in China. However, things didn’t happen as planned. Note 7 exploded – with multiple units got reported around the world. It was so widespread that Samsung had to recall their handsets in every market, except for China. To explain for this, Samsung claimed that the Note 7 batteries produced for Chinese market have been certified safe. However, even one “safe” unit got caught exploded. This totally lost Chinese people’s faith in the brand. Many even said that they would exchange Samsung devices to Apple’s or Huawei’s.
Samsung sales: continues to drop
After these incidents, Samsung sales will continue to fall in this market. The company could lose their position in one of the largest phone markets in the world. Not to mention that it might be even harder for this Korean brand to gain back the trust of Chinese users. Can Samsung turn the table and get back their position? Just wait and see!

Samsung washing machine: multiple units are reported to also explode!
It looks like September is the unlucky month of Samsung. While the Galaxy Note7 explosion problem has yet to be solved, another Samsung product has already been reported to explode: Samsung washing machine. And this accident didn’t just happen to 1 unit!

Samsung washing machine: explosion reported
This is absolutely not something Samsung wants to encounter with while they are in the middle of the huge Note7 accident. According to CPSC – U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, a woman from Texas has claimed that her Samsung washing machine has “exploded with such ferocity that it penetrated the interior wall of her garage”. The cause of this incident is speculated to be the “abnormal vibrations” from within the machine.
That’s not the only case to be reported, unfortunately. There have been similar cases from not one, but three states of America. After such incidents, CPSC has made a warning towards people who are using units of Samsung washing machine that were produced from March 2011 to April 2016. Samsung has then participated in the investigation. The Korean company is now working with CPSC to find the cause and in the meantime, they have established a service that helps customers check whether they are using a potentially troublesome washer. This action is done via the serial number of the machine.

At this point, it’s necessary to let you know that a few days ago, a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 unit purchased in China has been reported to explode while in use. The tension is high because China has been claimed as the only country to be safe from the international Note7 recall. Units released in this country are said to not carry the faulty battery.
Samsung washing machine exploded: bad luck or production errors?
In the past few weeks, Samsung has lost a huge portion of its revenue due to the incident of Note 7 explosion. The scandal has also partly destroyed the company’s reputation in the smartphone market. And now, with the new case of Samsung washing machine, it looks like the brand is about to lose it spot in the household electronics market too! What will the brand do to win back customer trust? Looks like it’s not going to be easy for them this time!
“Safe” Samsung Galaxy Note7 reported to have exploded!
Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosion has been quite a topic these days, isn’t it? And even after the company’s effort of re-qualifying their smartphones, there has been just another incident recently….
Samsung Galaxy Note7 explosion: Another incident reported
In case you don’t know yet, after more than 35 units of Samsung Galaxy Note7 were reported to have exploded, the brand has announced the Note7 recall in all countries – except China. The reason why the units released in China are safe from the recall is that the batteries of these units are made by Amperex Technology Ltd, which is not the faulty supplier according to the result of Samsung investigation.
After the recall, this company is in charge of supplying the battery for ALL Samsung Galaxy Note7 units that return to the market. However, before this brand is able to gain back the trust from customers, there has been another case. Hui Renjie, a user from China – where Note7 is labelled “safe”, has just reported that his Note7 has exploded while in use, burning two of his fingers and damaging his Macbook nearby.
CNN then approached this guy and were able to receive some photos of the remains of his Samsung Galaxy Note7. They also took proof of the damaged Macbook. According to Hui Renjie, after the incident, a representative from Samsung paid him a visit and requested to take the mobile away for further investigation. Mr. Hui then didn’t agree and claimed that he would spread this case to the media.
Samsung Galaxy Note7 explosion: The scandal goes on!
The international Samsung Galaxy Note7 recall and replacement were supposed to be the last thing Samsung can do to reinforce its reputation. Unfortunately, with this new scandal, it is getting extra harder for the Note7 to return to the market successfully. So far, Samsung has not made any statement about the new incident, yet. The brand is still keeping in touch with the unlucky user. Hopefully, they will come up with a convincing solution in the near future.

Nokia feature phones: Ahead of their time
Many smartphones nowadays are equipped with advanced features like waterproof features or “Always on display”. However, Nokia feature phones have introduced them all the way back. Let’s have a look!

Nokia features: waterproof, no headphone jack
First is the waterproof feature. Many flagships of Samsung, Sony, and recently Apple are equipped with this features. However, all the Nokia feature phones already have this function. Although being dropped in the water, put in the washing machine, or dropped from the balcony, Nokia feature phones still survive and work well. Secondly, iPhone 7 (Plus), as well as LeEco Le max 2, comes with no 3.5mm headphone jack. Nokia features already have that. You can listen to the music through speakers.
Thirdly, smartphones nowadays are backed up with an enormous battery capacity. Galaxy A9 Pro of Samsung with 5000mAh is a typical example. However, these long-life battery phones basically can’t compete with Nokia feature phones. With just 800mAh cell, Nokia phones still can last from 3-5 days. Furthermore, many smartphone brands want to make the charging port convenient as much as possible like USB Type – C or Lightning. You don’t have to worry about Nokia feature phones, which have round charging port.

The fifth feature is the “Always on display” mode. This mode will display some basic information on the screen while it’s still off. This will help you to save phone battery. Many companies like LG, Samsung, or Motorola added the “Always on display” for their products (Note 7, Moto Z Force). However, this feature is borrowed from Nokia phones. Nokia 1202 or 1280 will display the name, time and date on the screen.
Nokia feature phones: Ahead of their time
Waterproof features or long-life battery, convenient charging port, “Always on display” mode, or no headphone jack; those are all the cool features of many smartphones today. However, they have all been on Nokia feature phones before. Those Nokia phones are truly ahead of their time with some features.
