Apple vs Samsung: 5 ways iPhone 7 Plus is better than any Galaxy phones

The Apple vs Samsung battle never seems to end. While Samsung is running the world of Android with its Galaxy smartphones, Apple has just release the masterpieces iPhone 7/7Plus. Today we will show you 5 ways iPhone 7 Plus is better than any Galaxy phones.

apple vs samsung (2)

1. The storage

First of all in this Apple vs Samsung battle, let’s consider the storage of iPhone 7 Plus and Galaxy smartphones. Though Galaxy smartphones support microSD card (some of them even support up to 256GB of removable storage), their internal memory is still a minus compared to that of iPhone 7.

iPhone 7 comes with three different variants of storage: 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has only one version with 64GB ROM and Galaxy S7 Edge only offers 32GB of internal storage. Some of you may argue that iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t support microSD card, but let us remind you that there are many apps that only stay in the on-board storage.

2. The camera

Next in this Apple vs Samsung battle, let’s talk about the camera of iPhone 7 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S7 – the best camera phone from Samsung. These two both pack a 12MP main camera, but the iPhone 7 Plus is a dual setup with 2x optical zoom. The dual lens setup helps iPhone 7 Plus take photos with better depth perception and better background blurring effect. Moreover, the 2x optical zoom in iPhone 7 Plus camera allows users to zoom in 2 times.

3. Stereo speakers

One thing that iPhone 7 Plus is better than any Galaxy smartphones is the speaker. While all Galaxy smartphones carry a mono speaker, iPhone 7 Plus (and even iPhone 7) comes with stereo speakers, one sitting at the bottom of the phone, the other located on the top front panel. This setup produces stereo sound which is more lively than the mono one of Samsung smartphones.

apple vs samsung (4)

4. Software support

Another factor to mention in this Apple vs Samsung battle is the software support. iPhone 7 Plus (and many other iOS handsets from iPhone 5 onwards) has now received the latest OS version: iOS 10. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge still runs Android 6 Marshmallow, while Android 7 Nougat were official last month. The point here is that, whenever there’s an available software update, iPhone users are always able to get it very quickly, but Samsung users (or Android usersin general) have to wait for months.

5. Performance

Last but not least, iPhone 7 Plus (iPhone 7) offers better performance than any Galaxy handsets. iPhone 7 Plus, with its A10 chipset gets more than 170.000 scores on Antutu benchmark. Meanwhile, the most powerful Samsung phone so far – the Galaxy S7 Edge receives only around 130.000 scores with its Exynos 8890 CPU.

Waterproof iPhone 7: defeating Galaxy S7 in latest test

iPhone 7 has just been through a waterproof test. After being put under the water for about 5 minutes, this waterproof iPhone 7 still works well as usual.

Waterproof iPhone 7

Waterproof iPhone 7: dunked under 10-meter of water

This year, Apple removed the 3.5mm head jack. At the same time, this company added many cool and interesting features to this phone. Waterproof feature is one of them. With IP67 certification, this phone is said to be able to handle under the water for about 30 minutes. So, let’s see how well this waterproof iPhone 7 handle in the water. Will it still work after dunked in the water?

A Youtuber -Callux- has just done two tests with this phone. First is the waterproof test. In this test, iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7 with the IP68 certification are put under the water with the depth of 35 feet (~10.67 meters) for about 5 minutes. The result is quite surprising. While S7 is totally stopped working, waterproof iPhone 7 still functioned. Of course, this Apple phone still had some damage on the screen.

Waterproof iPhone 7

The second test is about the durance of the phone. With this test, Callux dropped the waterproof iPhone 7 from a helicopter. After being dropped from that height, iPhone 7 still works as normal. Callux can still call and record video. The damaged part of the phone is the screen. It is broken down. There were also some scratches on the body.

Waterproof iPhone 7: one of the most durable devices

With these two tests, iPhone 7, as well as iPhone 7 Plus, is one of the most durable devices in the market. With IP67, this phone can survive better than Galaxy S7 with IP 68. So,  iPhone 7 not only surpasses S7 in the processor benchmark Geekbench but also beats it with the water test. iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge :The World’s Most powerful phones

Today we’ll show you the “7 battle”: Apple iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge. Galaxy S7 Edge comes with many innovative features. Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 got impressive benchmark scores and become the King of Antutu.

iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge

Apple iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge: performance + design

Generally, both phones become the most powerful devices in their own ways. Samsung Galaxy S7 is powered by an Octa-core Exynos 8890 processor. The phone also has another version with Quad-core Qualcomm SnapDragon 820. Both of them are powerful processors. However, we pick the Exynos version in this comparison because it is more popular than the SnapDragon version. Talking about iPhone 7, it is now working on Apple home-made chipset: a quad-core Apple A10 Fusion.  Besides, Apple iPhone 7 features 2GB RAM while that is 4GB RAM on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

So you might think that Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is definitely the stronger phone, when it has double RAM and double cores. However, the true will make you surprised. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge got 128, 191 Antutu scores. Meanwhile, iPhone 7 got 178,397 scores which are 40% higher than Galaxy S7 Edge’s. With this impressive result, iPhone 7 even becomes the King of Antutu at present. The quad-core CPU on the iPhone 7 also uses less power than the octa-core on Galaxy S7 Edge. So, with a smaller RAM and fewer cores, Apple iPhone 7 is still the winner in the performance battle.

iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge

In terms of the design, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge gets the higher evaluation than its counterpart. It is designed with a dual-curved screen. This year, iPhone 7 make users feel a bit..disappointed when it isn’t too different from the iPhone 6. Although Apple adds two new Jet Black and Matte Black colour version, that’s not enough when thinking it is the latest Apple iPhone. However, iPhone 7 is  half a millimetre thinner than the S7 Edge. It is also lighter (4.87 ounces), compared to Galaxy S7 Edge’s (5.54 ounces). Nonetheless, if you are finding the best look phone, Galaxy S7 Edge seems to be the better choice. Besides the nicer design, the S7 Edge also comes with the bigger battery than the iPhone 7 (3600 mAh vs 2900 maH).

Apple iPhone 7 vs Galaxy S7 Edge: The price

About Apple iPhone 7 price, the 128GB version cost $729. With the same onboard storage of 128GB, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge price is slightly higher, at $747. So, Apple iPhone 7 come to this battle with stronger performance, the thinner and lighter body. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge gets better design along with a bigger battery. So, did you find your winner?

Samsung explained why Note 7 exploding

Samsung is now trying to solve all the problem, after the Note 7 scandal. There are a lot of rumours about the reason behind Note 7 exploding, but the exact reason has just been unveiled by the company

Note 7 exploding

The reason causes Samsung Note 7 exploding

Samsung Note 7 exploding: As the recent statement, there are above 35 incidents in which Galaxy Note 7 catches on fire. Samsung is recalling 1 million of Galaxy Note 7 on around the world. Alongside, the company is in the process to refund and exchange for those phones sold out. Recently, Samsung has just made an investigation to find the reason behind Galaxy Note 7 problem.

As the result of the investigation, the Note 7 issue comes from the battery. To be more specific, the mistake in manufacturing process led to the anode (+) came into contact with the cathode (-). Honestly, that’s not good at all. That causes the overheating of the battery and thus, makes the Note 7 burst into flames.

Note 7 exploding

Samsung also confirmed this is just the battery issue and there is nothing to do with the rest of the phone. Additionally, the company also said that the problem doesn’t affect other Samsung devices because each smartphone has different manufacturing process and design.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7: Responsibility?

The reason behind the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 exploding is determined to come from the battery. However, Samsung hasn’t taken the responsibility for all the entire mess Note 7 caused. ” In order to meet market demands, we are working with multiple suppliers,” Samsung said. The company stated that Note 7 battery’s fault might come from some suppliers. Anyway, Samsung has a mistake in the incident, when to skip testing process for the battery. With this scandal, the Korean giant is facing many problems. Apart from getting a huge loss, the company’s reputation will be affected for sure. Hopefully, this is a worthy lesson for any smartphone manufacturers.

The other specs of A8 on both Antutu and GFXBench are similar.

Galaxy A8 2016

Meanwhile, Zauba (an Indian company) said that the phone would feature a 5.7-inch display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080px from the sample they got.

Galaxy A8 2016: a step back?

If those reports are true, with a 5.1-inch screen and an 8MP primary camera (Antutu), S8 2016 version is a step back when compared to Galaxy A8 last year.
