Top 10 smartphones with 3GB RAM for July: 21.5MP cam, 4900mAh batt

To some people, a 3GB RAM phone is just enough. It is still good at processing things and able to deliver smooth performances. So, if you are one of them and now looking for a new 3GB RAM machine this month, check out the following top 10 smartphones!

1. Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016)

First, we have a very potential candidate from Samsung called Galaxy On7 (2016). Some news of this handset is showing up and according to GFXBench, Samsung Galaxy On7 specs will include a small 4.8-inch Super AMOLED Full HD screen this time. Under the hood, it will come with an octa-core Snapdragon 2.0GHz chip paired with Adreno 506 GPU, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. However, we do not know if the ROM is expandable or not.

As for camera, the rear one is capable of 13 megapixels while the front snapper is 8 megapixels, which makes a decent combo for taking pictures. In general, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) is indeed a more advanced version of Galaxy On7 (2015), but you won’t have to pay much for it. Specifically, Samsung Galaxy On7 (2016) price is predicted to range from $150 to $200 after being launched in late July and then hitting the shelves in mid-August.

2. Moto Z Play

Recently, the GeekBench site has shown a model named XT1635-01, which is also considered as Moto Z Play. One of the handset’s highlights is its thickness, which is said to be 5.9mm. Impressive, huh?! Besides, some Moto Z Play specs have also been revealed, including Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a Snapdragon 625 octa-core 2.02GHz, and 3GB RAM. Additionally, the Play will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a package of 16MP main + 5MP secondary shooter, and a decent 3,600mAh battery.

3. OPPO A59

Next, we have an OPPO smartphone called A59. It’s definitely an all new mid-ranger in the house and just has been available for sale from June 18 in China at an OPPO A59 price of 1,799 Yuan (~$270). Spec-wise, it boasts a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), 4G LTE, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with ColorOS 3.0 UI on top, a 3,075mAh batt, a fingerprint scanner, and a set of 13MP primary + 8MP selfie cam.

4. Imoo Learning Phone M1000

Well, this can be an interesting handset, at least in its name. Actually, it is produced by BBK, one of the largest Original Device Manufacturer (ODM) in China. It is announced as a new smartphone brand with educational purpose. According to Antutu, Imoo M1000 specs contain a Full HD screen, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out of the box, a Helio P10 octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable ROM. About photography, you can use either its 13MP rear (with LED flash) or 5MP front-facing camera to capture things. So, there’s not much information about the phone’s hardware, but hopefully in the next days, we’ll know more about what it can have to serve learning purposes.

5. Alcatel Flash Plus 2

Alcatel Flash Plus 2 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and packs a dual SIM, a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, a microSD card slot to expand its internal storage up to 128GB, a MediaTek Helio P10 chip set, and 2 options over the RAM and ROM capacity: 2GB + 16GB (priced at around $160) and 3GB + 32GB ($190). In addition to Alcatel Flash Plus 2 specs, there are 4G LTE connectivity, a 3,000mAh battery, and a 13MP rear (with dual-tone RealTone flash) + a 5MP front (with LED flash) snapper combo to assist you in taking photos.

6. Sony Xperia XA Ultra

Sony Xperia XA Ultra was introduced in May, 2016, but it has not gone on sale yet. Anyway, this is really a great camera-centric machine deserving the wait. It sports a wonderful 21.5MP primary (supported by PDAF + LED flash) and a quality 16MP (with autofocus, OIS, LED flash + 1080p) shooter. Other Sony Xperia XA Ultra specs are also good as well: a 6.0-inch IPS LCD Full HD screen, Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS, a Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core 2.0GHz chip, 16GB ROM (+ 256GB), 3GB RAM, and a 2,700mAh batt.

7. Nubia NX541J

Coming up next is a ZTE’s product: Nubia NX541J, and please note that it may not be the final name for the handset but just the model number appearing on TENAA. Apparently, Nubia NX541J has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 1.9 GHz Helio P10 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB). Besides, there are also a 13MP rear + 8MP front cam set, a huge 4,900mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, a dual SIM, and 4G LTE network on board to help power the entire machine. Some people think that it can be a variant of ZTE Nubi Z11. How about you?

8. LG X Mach

LG X Mach was announced in June and has been expected to be released in July, 2016. According to some latest reports, it’s gonna own a 5.5-inch Quad HD IPS LCD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a Snapdragon 650 chip set, 3GB RAM paired with 32GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB). Well, with just those specifications, we have a feeling that it is the best 3GB RAM member of the LG X series so far. For the rest, LG X Mach specs offer a 12.3MP rear-facing camera (with autofocus + LED flash), an 8MP selfie shooter, a  fingerprint scanner and a removable 3,000mAh battery.

9. Lenovo Phab 2 Plus

Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is one of the newest phablets of Lenovo. It has a big 6.4-inch Full HD screen, a dual SIM, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, a fingerprint scanner, a large 4,050mAh batt, a Mediatek MT8783 octa-core chipset, an 8MP f/2.2 selfie snapper, 32GB ROM (expandable up to 256GB), and 3GB RAM. Like many other siblings, the Phab 2 Plus is equipped with Dolby Atmos tech to bring users quality sounds. Specially, you’re gonna find a dual camera system on the back consisting of two 13MP sensors with f/2.0, laser & PDAF + dual LED flash on board to give you the best pics.

10. Gionee F103 Pro

Finally, let’s meet Gionee F103 Pro, priced at around $176. Spec-wise, the smartphone’s got a 5.0-inch HD IPS In-cell display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Amigo UI on top. Under the hood, it packs a MediaTek MT6735 quad-core 1.3GHz processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (+ 128GB), a standard combo of 13MP main + 5MP secondary cam, a 2,400mAh removable batt, a dual SIM, and 4G LTE along with VoLTE.
