4K resolution is considered as the best for smartphone display now. If Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is the world’s first handset to sport a 4K screen, you may wonder if there will be more to come in 2016. Check out the following list to find the answer.
1. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
This is a model belonging to Sony Xperia Z5 series launched last year. More specially, the Z5 Premium packs very high display resolution: 4K (aka UHD), making it the first smartphone owning such a premium feature in the world. Apart from that, other Sony Xperia Z5 Premium specs are also good, including a 5.5-inch IPS LCD screen with 806 ppi, a Snapdragon 810 chip, 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of expandable ROM.
Additionally, there are a fingerprint sensor built in the phone’s home button, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, a 3,430mAh battery and a combo of 5MP front-facing plus 23MP rear (supporting recording 4K videos with 12,800 ISO, autofocus speed of 0.03s and 5X zoom without reducing much the image’s quality) camera.
2. ZTE Nubia X8
Nubia X8 has been discussed for a long time, but now everything is official. Three variants of the ZTE Nubia X8 will debut soon with the Standard model powered by a Snapdragon 820 chip, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM, and Full HD display resolution. The second one is the Mid-range model owning the same processor but up to 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and Quad HD resolution. The last one, also the highest-end here, is the Flagship model which will featuring a Snapdragon 823 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB/256GB ROM, and UHD (aka 4K) res. Wow!
3. OPPO Find 9
OPPO Find 9 is an upcoming flagship of the manufacturer. According some recent reports, OPPO Find 9 launch will happen in June, 2016. Spec-wise, it is said to boast a 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels or 4096 x 2160 pixels) screen although its display size is still unknown. In addition to OPPO Find 9 specs, there will be a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB RAM paired with 128GB ROM, Super VOOC fast charging technology, and SmartSensor tech for photography. As for OPPO Find 9 price, it is predicted to be $615.
4. Vivo Xplay 5S
This phone was actually leaked in some live photos last year but still has not been introduced yet. Though, some of Vivo Xplay 5S specs were claimed to be a Snapdragon 820 chip, a premium 4K screen, a fingerprint scanner, a fantastic 21MP main and an appealing 12MP secondary shooter. Those are top specifications now and we hope the device will be coming just like that and even with powerful 6GB RAM plus huge ROM as well.
5. ZTE Star 3
Last but not least, it is ZTE Star 3. Its hardware will probably pack a 5.5-inch 4K screen, 808 ppi. Another key feature is that the bezel will measure only 0.55mm or nearly edge-to-edge in other words. Other than that, no more words have been made for the rest of ZTE Start 3 specs, price as well as release date. We assume the maker is still working on it. Let’s wait and see!
