2016 is predicted to be the year of curved display smartphones. And in fact, we are seeing this happening. Check out the following ones and you know why we said so!
1 + 2. Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and S6 edge Plus
Samsung Galaxy S6 edge is one of the best devices of Samsung in this kind. It gets bent on both sides and looks very spectacular and innovative. In terms of Samsung Galaxy S6 edge specs, there are a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED QHD screen, an Exynos 7420 chipset, 32/64/128GB of non-expandable ROM, 3GB of RAM, a 16MP/5MP camera set, and a 2,600mAh battery to be basic.
So, apart from the Galaxy S6 edge, the company also released its more advanced version in late 2015, called Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus. It is larger with a 5.7-inch 2K Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM, and a 3,000mAh batt. Other Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Plus specs do not change much: 32/64GB ROM (non-expandable), an Exynos 7420 processor, and a 16MP/5MP shooter package.
3. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge
Next, we have the edge version of the flagship Samsung Galaxy S7. It is an excellent device equipped with not only a beautiful curved display but also powerful specifications which are similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 specs. Specifically, it sports a 5.5-inch 2K Super AMOLED screen, a 3,600mAh battery, a Snapdragon 820/Exynos 8890 chip, Android 6.0 OS, 32/64GB ROM (+200GB), 4GB RAM, and a combo of 12MP rear/5MP front camera.
4 + 5. Vivo Xplay 5 Elite and Xplay 5
Both the world’s first 6GB RAM and its lower-end variant share the same design but different specifications, and of course, appearing here means they have curved screens although they do not seem to have edge features like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge launched at MWC 2016. 6. BlackBerry Priv
This is the first Android smartphone of BlackBerry and able to draw a lot of people’s attention thanks to its attractive curved display and physcal QWERTY kerboard that can be slided out from under the screen measuring 5.4 inches with Quad HD resolution. Besides, BlackBerry Priv specs include Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, a Snapdragon 808 chip, 32GB of internal storage (expandable up to 200GB), 3GB RAM, a set of 18MP main plus 2MP secondary snapper, and a pretty good 3,410mAh cell.
7. Meizu Pro 6
Finally, we want to talk about Meizu Pro 6. Actually, it has not been launched yet, but we spotted a very potential, special design for the machine. Apparently, the Pro 6 is very likely to boast a curved display with corners protected by pieces of aluminium.
