UMIDIGI Z2: iPhone X like notch, 7000mAh battery and more!

Since the debut of iPhone X, their unique Notch has become a trend for many Chinese smartphone manufacturers to follow. However, does it worth the $1000 price tag? Based on the previous report, UMIDIGI has been working on their next handset with an iPhone X notch and quad-camera system.

Today, UMIDIGI has finally confirmed the arrival of this handset under the name UMIDIGI Z2. In details, this UMIDIGI is going to feature a notch which holds the selfie camera and other necessary sensors. Furthermore, UMIDIGI stated that their UMIDIGI handset is “much more interesting than you might expect”. Regarding the display, UMIDIGI Z2 specs sport a 6.2-inch OLED with FHD+ (2246×1080) resolution.

This feature makes it the first 6.2-inch phone with FHD+ resolution and a top notch to debut this year. As for the processor, this UMIDIGI handset can run on the MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. Regarding the storage, UMIDIGI Z2 offers 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM, which is expandable up to 256GB. On the other hand, this UMIDIGI phone is going to have a total of four cameras. In details, UMIDIGI Z2 camera system includes a dual 13MP rear snapper. Furthermore, there is also a 13MP + 5MP selfie lens. Additionally, the UMIDIGI phone rocks a massive 7000mAh battery box. As for the security, the UMIDIGI flagship is going to feature the Synaptics’ Clear ID in-display fingerprint sensor.

UMIDIGI Z2 release date and price

For now, there is no official date set for this UMIDIGI handset launch. However, we can expect this UMIDIGI handset to hit the market in Quarter 1 2018. As for the cost, UMIDIGI Z2 price can start at $270 ~ Rs. 17000. A low price for such an impressive beast, don’t you think so?
