In comparison, 5G brings us faster speed, lower latency, and even better interoperability. Moreover, it looks like Huawei is aiming to be the first brand to introduce their 5G phone. At the \u201cOpening the New Mobile Era\u201d sub-forum (2018 Summer Davos Forum), Huawei\u2019s vice chairman and rotating CEO, Hu Houkun stated that they are going to launch the first 5G smartphone in mid-2019.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, he also revealed the plan to release some new generation of Huawei mobile phones next year. Moreover, these devices also support the 5G network. Meanwhile, other reports also share that the first Huawei 5G smartphone can equip the new Kirin 980 chipset. Notably, this processor is the first chip which matches the baseband with LTE Cat.21.
