One megapixel equals to one million pixels. If your phone camera comes with the resolution of 16MP, the images captured by your camera will contain maximum 16 million pixels. In theory, the more megapixels the camera has, the better the images will look. You don&#8217;t have to worry much about the blocky things<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>when zooming or cropping.<\/p>\n<p>Although megapixels are important, they are not the only role in deciding photo quality. Next, we have <strong>sensor size<\/strong>, a feature that contributes considerably. An average phone camera will have sensor size of about one-third per inch.\u00a0The bigger the sensor size, the better and clearer your photos will be. This factor will decide how much light can go through the cameras. Aperture is expressed in the f-number. The smaller the f-number is, the bigger the aperture is. And a\u00a0bigger aperture means more light to go into the camera. This f-number affects not only the brightness of the pictures but also the image&#8217;s depth of field. So, if you need to take a shot in the low light condition, a\u00a0phone camera with small f-number is a proper choice.
