The Kolon Group which is known as one of the only company in the entire world to produce colorless polyimide said that it is supplying materials to a various manufacturer. It also said that it was supplying it to Samsung and LG, but they did not mention anything about what these materials were going to be used for. Kolon Industries\u2019 head Kang Chung-seok believes the foldable displays will make headway in South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a what it also said: \u201cthere are 3 to 5 technology companies that are expected to mass produce foldable phones in 2018 worldwide&#8221;. \u00a0Companies like Samsung, LG, Xiaomi and even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pricepony.com.ph\/blog\/apple-foldable-iphone\/\">Apple<\/a> are all moving from the LCD to OLED. the reason for this shift of screen model is that the OLED can easily be flexible and can be curved, foldable and also rollable. In case if you\u2019re wondering, a bend radius is simply the minimum radius something can be bent without causing damage to it.
