As for your account you use on the phone, you should enable two-factor authentication with apps such as Google Authenticator. Then, you should only download apps from already verified and trusted sources, such as on the App Store or Google Play Store. Third-party apps may contain malwares that will be harmful for your phones.<\/p>\n<p>For Android devices, you should always read app permissions before downloading. If it asks for too much permissions not really pertaining to its features, the app could be suspicious. Now, your Bluetooth and Wifi settings should also be configured correctly. You should not set your Bluetooth settings to be discoverable by other devices, as you just make yourself easy targets. Also, if not absolutely necessary, you should avoid strange public Wifi. Last but not least, you should be careful when rooting or jailbreaking your devices.
