In details, the screen-to-body ratio of Galaxy S9 is 85.3%, smaller than 86.2% of Galaxy S8. On the other hand, for the Plus variants, Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is 86.2% screen-to-body ratio, still lower than that of Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with 87.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the trend in the smartphone industry is the increasing screen-to-body ratio. Since the display gets larger, the bezels should be lower to keep the smartphone comfortable to use and hold. Before 2017, the ratio of smartphones is around 70% to 75%. At the moment, there is no smartphone on the market offering 100% bezel-less display. We expect Samsung or Apple might make a revolution in the smartphone industry with their no-bezel devices.
