However, that is not the case today. With thousands of strength-training centres all over the country, India is now on the way to becoming one of the world&#8217;s largest bodybuilding meccas. What is the reason? The current interest in fitness and bodybuilding in India has been fueled, in part, by the increasing incidence of obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the increase of more disposable income also pushes people to take part in such activities. Moreover, it doesn&#8217;t just become the trend in the urban cities, but also in small towns and villages. Today&#8217;s health-conscious and fitness-aware generation wants to look and feel good\u2014even if it takes a bite out of their budgets. And what is their motivation? The Indian Body Builders Federation (known as the IBBF is now the largest of them all.
