For the first quarter of 2018, the Chinese brand has been focusing on the premium smartphone section with the announcement of their Huawei P20 and P20 Pro beast. However, they didn’t forget the mid-range and low-end series. Back in 2017, Xiaomi has released another new member of their entry-level series Xiaomi Redmi A: Redmi 5A. Right after that, it seems like Huawei has been busy getting ready to launch the next generation of the budget-friendly phone in this year.

Today, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A finally arrives on GeekBench. Firstly, the Xiaomi device appears with the codename “Cereus.” Moreover, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A scored 745 in the Single-Core racket. On the other hand, the Xiaomi phone also scored 3, 562 in the Multi-Score. Besides, the listing also reveals that this Xiaomi phone is going to feature an Octa-core processor – probably successor to the MT6750/MT6735 MediaTek chipset series.

Additionally, the MT6765 chip seems to be built at 12nm process. As a result, the Redmi 6A has a low-power consuming chipset, making it in the front of other Xiaomi smartphones which are running with 14nm SoCs. For additional details, Xiaomi Redmi 6A specs sport a 5.0-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen (720 x 1280 pixels). Under the hood, the Xiaomi handset also arrives with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. For now, there is no official news yet regarding this Xiaomi phone’s availability. However, we can expect to meet it in the third or last quarter this year.
