Xiaomi Redmi S2 mid-range phone

According to our sources, Xiaomi will market the cameras heavily for its new device, Xiaomi Redmi S2. In details, Xiaomi is coming with its budget phone with an 18:9 screen and a dual camera. Moreover, Xiaomi Redmi S2 specs feature a 5.5-inch LCD screen with resolutions of 720 x 1440 pixels. One of the good news is that the handset would feature both a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and Face Unlock.

Under the hood, the Redmi S2 will take power from a Snapdragon 625 chipset (used in the Redmi Note 5) and run Android 8.1 Oreo. On the other hand, Redmi S2 shares 3GB RAM and 16GB of storage on board with a microSD slot to expand the memory to 128GB. Whereas, the Xiaomi handset would pack a 3080mAh battery box with the stable battery life of 1-2 days thanks to the 14nm SoC.

Also, the program optimisations of Android Oreo 8 also helped to improve the battery life by time. Thus, we do not meet any memory thrashing and avoid background services. On the other hand, the primary rear sensor would be 12MP Sony IMX486 or 12MP OmniVision OV12A10 lenses. Whereas, the secondary rear sensor would be a 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 one. Besides, the selfie camera sports alone 5MP Samsung S5K5E8 sensor. In details, the rear camera will feature portrait mode and EIS. Meanwhile, the front cam will handle face unlocking.

Xiaomi Redmi S2 release date and price

Based on the latest updates, the Redmi S2 will launch in India and China (at least at first). In details, Xiaomi has scheduled an event for April 25 (next Wednesday) that the Mi 6X would be the star.
