With the presence of Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, the film tells a story about a Kashmiri woman who agrees to marry a Pakistani army officer in order to spy on Pakistan during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Apple iPhone 8 becomes the best-selling smartphone in May 2018!

Ever since its release in March, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus has been the best best-selling smartphone worldwide back in April. However, according to a new report from Counterpoint Research, Apple has managed to overthrow Samsung’s latest flagship to take the crown! During May, Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus dropped down into second place with a global market share of 2.4%. Surprisingly, the Apple iPhone 8 model is back in the game after placing at the 5th place during April.

Based on our research, the biggest reason for the rise is the successful marketing campaigns in Europe, as well as strong demand over in the US. On the other hand, it seems like Apple still has more strong candidates for the race. Notably, Apple’s flagship iPhone X maintained its 3rd place spot with a market share of 2.3%. Meanwhile, the massive iPhone 8 Plus settled for 5th with 2.1% overall. Interestingly, the standard Samsung’s Galaxy S9 finished at 6th place with the similar number!

Aside from Apple and Samsung, Counterpoint Research also notes an increased presence from Xiaomi on the global market, especially in China and India. In fact, the low-cost manufacturer took the 4th place with the Xiaomi Redmi 5A. Moreover, they grew their global share by a considerable 0.7% to 2.2%. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus (known as the Note 5 in specific markets) also placed at 9th position. Also, going forward, the firm also expects the Xiaomi Mi 8 to enter the best-selling list in the upcoming months thanks to its risen popularity!
