However, it seems like the Korean manufacturer is aiming for a non-traditional flagship which pushes the design to the limits. Based on the latest unveiled Samsung patent, we can see that they are taking a big step this time. In details, the Samsung patent now reveals a new handset which consists of the entire screen around. Notably, this Samsung phone reportedly comes with up to three displays!

On the other hand, this Samsung patent shows off four potential designs with similar characteristics. However, they all look slightly different from each other. Firstly, we can see that the model 1,3 and 4 all have two displays. Moreover, their bezel thickness is entirely different. With the first device, this Samsung model has the most futuristic out of the three. It has a tall display up front and on the rear. Also, the screen seems to be Samsung’s Infinity Display with no notch.

For instance, its display automatically switches on and, when folded shut, the display automatically turns off. Also, the handset is going to have two antennas, two speakers, and two microphones, which are all place under the screen towards the top and bottom. Regarding the camera, it appears LG may eventually combine it within the display in the hope of creating a truly bezel-less design.

Recently, Huawei has announced that it is going to launch a quad-camera smartphone that will house an AI chipset. The company also claims that this chip and its camera capabilities will deliver a fantastic photography experience; as well as smarter resource allocation and better power saving mode. One of the company’s rep has stated: “Camera is one of the main factors to consider when buying a smartphone, even for people who aren’t enthusiastic photographers. Not only does the photo quality have to be good, but it also has to be quick on the spot and be easily shareable.

And that is Huawei’s objective by integrating AI photograph in its smartphones.” According to that statement, Huawei upcoming camera-centric smartphone will have an AI real-time scene and object recognition technology. Apparently, it can recognise more than 500 scenarios in 22 categories. Another feature that is expected to come in the upcoming Huawei device is AI Beautification for Selfies. It will provide a 3D portrait lighting and make adjustments in the photo to match the users’ facial features; with luminous skin-tone enhancements to give radiant selfies.

Moreover, there is even an AI Smart Gallery, which will automatically adjust images and highlight users’ best shots in an auto-generated layout. Besides, you can put up to 15 tags in each photo for easy categorisation and browsing. As far as taking photos in low-light conditions, Huawei chose to use its AI chip to provide stabilisation. The dual-front camera also allows the devices to optimise and adjust the exposure to achieve the HDR effect. In addition, the dual-lens is capable of delivering bokeh effect and a diverse range of shots by assisting with rendering effects for composition, lighting, shadow, colour tone and atmosphere. Last but not least, we expect the devices to come with a zoom lens.
