As shocking as it sounds, LG is going to release not two, but FIVE handsets in the month of June. According to our source, this unusual schedule will see the company put out the LG V35 ThinQ, LG Q7 ThinQ, Q7 Plus, LG X5 2018, and LG X2 2018 in its home country – South Korea. The devices would cover a variety of price range from the premium V35 down to the budget X2. On a side note, The LG V35 is a premium device with specifications that rival the LG G7 ThinQ.

Its launch would be an interesting move from the company. Given that, even in Korea where the LG G7 ThinQ got an early release, there would only be around six weeks separating them by the end of June. Now let’s take a look at the two stars today – LG X5 and LG X2 2018. The LG X5 2018 specs, not to be confused with the 2016 device of the same name, is coming with a 5.5-inch HD display.

Several reports have indicated that HMD Global is working on a couple of new smartphones. The company has already sent invites for a press event on May 29, where the brand is expected to introduce its new lines. Ahead of the event, some fans have spotted two unknown Nokia models appeared on a European certification agency’s website. In-depth, these Nokia phones carry the model number TA-1095 and TA-1080.

As of now, it’s not clear which smartphones are these due to the lack of specs info. However, considering the fact that the brand is planning to launch the 2018 variants of the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, these could be the model numbers for the two. In the meantime, let’s take a look at their specs and design for comparison. Regarding Nokia 5 2018 specs, the device offers a 5.2-inch HD screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. Besides, the handset display packs HD resolutions of 1280 x 720 pixels.

According to Bloomberg report, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company – a partner of Apple – has already started production of the next generation iPhone chipset. This news directly confirmed previous reports from July 2017 that Apple would use the company for its new 7nm processor. The figure refers to the half-measurement of nodes in a chip, so a smaller number equals a denser chip. This could also mean more computing power and reduced energy consumption, which is crucial for any mobile devices.

In addition, this next generation chip could help Apple devices perform faster and operate longer between charges. This gives the company an advantage in a competitive market that has experienced dormant demand for new handsets. A lack of new hardware design modification, along with longer replacement rates and diminishing carrier support, have been blamed for the cooling. On a side note, Apple has managed to grow its global market share in the first quarter of 2018; despite a decline in shipments worldwide. However, Apple is not alone in this battle.

7nm chip

Samsung is now also the main competitor in this race; after news emerged in April that the company is preparing to start manufacturing the 7nm Snapdragon 855. This chip supposes to use 35% less power than current chips; while offering speed boosts of 40% and support 5G mobile connectivity. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 might be the first device to run on this processor. Verizon will kick things off this Thursday while Sprint and T-Mobile follow suit on Friday with different purchase options. Sprint is offering the handset for $33/month on an 18-month Sprint Flex lease, while with T-Mobile you will pay $30 down and $30 per month for two years. Whereas, Verizon is a little more expensive, at $31.25 per month for two years.

Besides, AT&T confirmed earlier this month that they would not have the G7 ThinQ in their store. Instead, they are going to carry another different, exclusive LG phone. In terms of the LG G7 ThinQ specs, it sports a 6.1-inch touchscreen with the resolution of 3120 x 1440 pixels and a ratio of 19.5:9. Along with that, there will be six color modes in the Settings menu – Auto, Eco, Cinema, Sports, Game, and Expert.
