Samsung Galaxy S9 tops Consumer Reports ratings with the highest rating!

Since their release, the Samsung Galaxy S9 duo has attracted the attention of various media. Moreover, they have received many compliments for their innovative camera and hardware improvements. And now, Consumer Reports have given these two Galaxy S9 handsets their highest recognition.
In details, they have placed the two Samsung Galaxy S9 smartphones at the top of their list. “…it was durability, speedier processing, and top-quality sound that nudged the S9 and S9 Plus (which start at $720 and $840, respectively) ahead of the competition in an exceptionally crowded field. Moreover, just six points separate our top 20 smartphones,” said an excerpt of the Consumer Reports review.

In term of the durability, the watchdog conducted a test of 100 drops in a tumbling machine. Previously, Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus displays were “badly broken and not functional” after a total of 50 drops. However, the Galaxy S9 broke through with just a few “minor scratches”. Additionally, the Samsung S9 Plus also survived the first 50 before cracking in the latter half. In the photography field, testers penalised the Galaxy S9 for over-sharpening pictures. “By doing this, we exaggerate the contrast between dark and light objects in the photos, potentially adding an unnatural-looking halo around the main subject,” the website elaborated. Moreover, it added that the difference in Galaxy S9 low light wasn’t noticeable in compared to its predecessor S8.

Nubia to launch Red Magic gaming phone with 8GB RAM, unique design!
If you are looking for a smartphone with a strong performance to play games, then you’re in luck! ZTE sub-brand Nubia has already entered the ‘gaming smartphone’ arena with its upcoming Red Magic. Scroll down for more details!

Nubia Red Magic gaming smartphone leaks
Razer started the trend of gaming phones that Xiaomi followed with the Black Shark. Then Nubia comes next and adds to the segment with the Red Magic (another translation could be Red Devil). Today the ZTE subsidiary announced the date of the phone debut – April 19 in Beijing. In the meantime, here are a couple of leaked pictures and videos showing a glimpse of the Nubia Red Magic. Although we couldn’t see much of the phone in the promo video, the teaser photos told us otherwise.
Blurry as the first image is, you can still picture out the handset’s unique design. That might be a multicolour LED strip on the back of the Nubia phone. The fingerprint sensor is under what looks like a single camera, and the whole body of the phone is angled so that it’s easier to hold in landscape when gaming. That’s a theme that Xiaomi’s recently unveiled Black Shark went with too.

The Nubia Red Magic seems to have a red button towards the top of the right side, above the volume and power keys. We assume that it will be related to gaming in some way. Furthermore, rumours in the past talked about the Red Magic sporting the Snapdragon 845 chipset at the helm. But now that the US has banned ZTE from selling components, we’re not sure what will happen. Maybe the Chinese company has already secured enough of those for the Nubia Red Magic, or perhaps it will swap out the SoC for another one. Either way, the handset should get 8GB of RAM.
Nubia Red Magic release date
As mentioned above, we’ll learn all the details about it on April 19 – the official launch date of the Nubia Red Magic gaming phone in Beijing.
