After announcing the R11s back in November 2017, OPPO is preparing for a new flagship. As number 13 is a negative omen in some countries, the company decided to skip OPPO R13 and release OPPO R15. According to the teaser leaking from Weibo recently, the Oppo R15 will arrive with MediaTek’s Helio P60 chipset. In details, it will process on CPU with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2 GHz and four A53 cores also at 2 GHz. Moreover, this OPPO R15 phone offers two storage options: 128 GB, 6 GB RAM or 64 GB, 4 GB RAM.

Apart from the MediaTek’s chipset, OPPO R15 specs spot a 5.5-inch AMOLED touchscreen with the resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Design-wise, it is leaked with bezel-less sides and extremely tiny chin. Just last week, HMD Global delivered a fantastic show at the MWC 2018. In details, they have finally unveiled two new handsets: Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco. Notably, Nokia 7 Plus is this brand’s first ever smartphone with an 18:9 display. On the other hand, Nokia 8 Sirocco is a new variant of Nokia 8 with the impressive design. Additionally, HMD Global is also bringing back one iconic Nokia phone: Nokia 8110 with 4G.

But hold on, we have more good news coming up! For the rest of the year, at least two more Nokia flagships are going to hit the market. According to Chinese outlet ITHome report last SaturdaySony is planning to release a flagship with a 4K display in 2018. In details, the upcoming device is based on the new “Ambient Flow” design language that Sony introduced at MWC earlier this week. Besides, Sony seems to equip significantly reduced bezels on the new handset to feature an 18:9 aspect ratio and 4K+ resolution of 4320 by 2180 pixels.

Sony introduced the world’s first 4K handset in 2015, Sony Xperia XZ5. After that, Japanese original equipment manufacturer has commercialised the next 4K smartphone, Xperia XZ Premium debuted at MWC 2017. Since then, the tech giant improved on its mobile display with the introduction of HDR+ support. However, Sony has yet to fully embrace virtual reality (support better VR experiences) on 4K panel display.
