According to his design, Nokia 9 will boast a 5.5″ 2K display, probably protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, the Snapdragon 835, along with 6GB RAM and 64/128GB ROM. If 128GB ROM is still not enough for you, there’s a microSD card slot on the side (up to 256GB).On the back is an iconic 41MP PureView camera from Nokia, while the front panel will house another camera with an Iris-scanner.

The phone also comes with dual speakers with subwoofer effect integrated. It has a slim design and is only 7.4mm thick. Nokia 9 runs on latest Android 7.1 and a 3650mAh battery.

Nokia Android smartphones to be made in India

According to the company vice president, Nokia Android smartphones will be manufactured in India. He also added that all new Nokia models will be made in Inda and they will be available this June. These models include Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. “By June, these products will be launched globally and India will serve as a key market for us again. Our attempt is to source 100 per cent from the country because of tax benefits,” said Ajey Mehta.

As for Nokia 6, it was first available exclusively for China market, but now an international version has been confirmed and will launch along the other three. The technology in question is a 5x zoom dual camera system, which utilizes a unique periscope-style setup. The camera consists of over 50 individual parts stacked in a module. According to Oppo, the camera uses a periscope-style setup to divert light through a prism and into a telephoto lens nested inside the smartphone, set at a 90-degree angle to the rear-facing wide-angle lens.

By shifting the light’s path, Oppo is able to achieve a lossless 5x zoom even within the confines of a thin smartphone. This technology will bring photography on mobile to a different level. With this setup, the camera on Oppo’s phones will produce much higher quality images than before.
