The name of the phone model listed on GeekBench is “Nokia Pixel”. This model has quite low configurations with Snapdragon 200 chipset and 2 cores running at 1.19 GHz speed along with the Adreno 302 graphic GPU. The strangest thing we want to notify is its 1GB RAM, which is very low compared to other budget phones now. In addition, the device also supports Quick Charge 3.0 and gets Android OS 7.0.1 preinstalled.

Compared to Nokia D1C’s unveiled GeekBench scores not long ago, Nokia Pixel is much inferior when it reached only 404 points in single-core test and 661 points in multi-core test. Meanwhile, Nokia D1C reached 682 points and 3229 points in those test arcordingly. This is quite understandable when Nokia D1C using Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics chip and up to 3 GB RAM.

Many foreign media have reported that the US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety regulators are trying to find ways to reduce car accidents due to using phones while driving. The first step is that they will require Apple, Samsung and many smartphone makers to create and implement the Pilot Mode in their product. Pilot mode will restrict the functions of the phone, very much like what the Flight Mode does. It is so that drivers can fully concentrate on driving on the road.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) will release a set of voluntary guidelines. It will require he deployment of the Pilot or Driver Mode, or a feature that restrict access to pecific applications and functions while driving. Smartphones have become not only a communication device, it has many other uses as well. Distraction while driving is very dangerous, and it could lead to accidents, causing severe injuries or death. There have been similar guidelines in the past. However, this is the first time the guidelines specifically points to portable device manufacturers.

Whether smartphone brands will comply with these guidelines is not clear. However, there are some brands which have made a driving mode for users. Take Apple for instance, the company has developed a mode for car use called CarPlay. Introduced in 2014, this function allows users to connect any compatible services in a car through a smartphone for comfort. By giving orders or requests via Siri, users don’t have to look at the phone screen and be distracted. Hopefully, more smartphone brands will implement this feature in the near future.

Game Awards founder Geoff Keighley has recently shared that he played a role in hyping up the game. He admitted that he has helped created a mess for the game, that he developers are stuck deep in it, and cannot get out. He hoped that this year, the developers will be more transparent about the state of the games they would reveal, so as not to mislead the audience. As a result, this year’s Game Awards will take a deeper look at each of the new reveals, rather than running through a 30-second cinematic teaser. He promised that the audience will be surprised at this year’s event.

On No Man’s Sky, Keighley also said that he game sure fell short of its goals, but it is quite inevitable. The game had an “idealized notion” of how it would turn out from the moment it was first announced. He also said that he knew the team behind the game, which were just eight people.
