Lenovo has just launched their two smartphones in India – Lenovo Moto Z and Moto Z Play. With 4GB and 16MP main cam, these handsets will be the tough rivals in this market.

Lenovo Moto Z duo: 4GB RAM, 16MP cam

Lenovo has just launched Moto Z as well as Moto Z Play at an event in New Delhi. These handsets are among the most successful products of Lenovo. Let’s have a look at these devices once again. First is Lenovo Moto Z. This phone is powered by a 2.2Ghz quad-core SND 820 processor and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. It packs 4GB RAM along with 64GB expandable inbuilt storage. The other Lenovo Moto Z specs include a 5.5-inch 2K AMOLED display, a 2600mAh battery, and a combo of 5MP+13MP cameras.

Lenovo Moto Z Play specs are not as strong as Moto Z. Under the hood, the handset runs on a 2.0Ghz octa-core SND 625 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It also has 32GB of ROM which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. If you’re a photography lover, this phone won’t let you down. Moto Z sports a f/2.2 5MP front shooter and a 16MP primary cam with f/2.0 and dual LED flash. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 3510mAh battery capacity, and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Besides these two phones, Lenovo also brought Moto Mods which are modules to this market. You can attach these modules to make your Moto phone cooler. They are JBL SoundBoost (speaker), Moto Insta-Share Projector, Incipio offGRID Power Pack (battery), Moto Style Shells, Hasselblad True Zoom. Some of these modules are really awesome. Xiaomi just had 5% of market shares in 2013. However, this number had increased to 12.5% in the next year. At the same time, Samsung market shares decreased by 6%. In the result of this loss, Samsung fell back at the 2nd position.

Everything was getting harder and harder for Samsung in the next couple of years. The Korean brand had to compete with Xiaomi in the budget segment, Huawei in the mid-range price group, and Apple in the high-end category. Samsung also had to challenge with other Chinese smartphones that offer strong specs at more affordable price. What will be will be! Samsung sales is now out of the top 5 biggest smartphone brands in China. The latest top 5 in the list are Huawei, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, and Apple.

This September, Samsung released their long-awaited flagship- Galaxy Note 7 with all premium specs. For such a long time, it was expected to bring the company back to the top 5 phone brands in China. However, things didn’t happen as planned. Note 7 exploded – with multiple units got reported around the world. It was so widespread that Samsung had to recall their handsets in every market, except for China. To explain for this, Samsung claimed that the Note 7 batteries produced for Chinese market have been certified safe. However, even one “safe” unit got caught exploded. This totally lost Chinese people’s faith in the brand. Many even said that they would exchange Samsung devices to Apple’s or Huawei’s.

Everybody seems to only pay attention to the battle between Apple and Samsung but don’t know that the battle of Apple vs Oppo is also very tough! According to latest reports, Oppo has surpassed Apple in terms of sale value in India!

Apple vs Oppo: The battle in India

India – the second most populous country in the world – is one of the most profitable and appealing market for smartphone manufacturers. Oppo and Apple are of course no exceptions. August was quite a successful month for these two brands as both of them get high proportions of Indian sales value. An interesting fact here is that Apple lagged behind the brand which is sometimes called Apple’s clone.

Based on the research from Gfk data, in August, Oppo owned 8% of the total market share value in India, making it the second most powerful phone brand in this country. Meanwhile, Apple landed at no.3 with only 6.3%. Lyf is at the forth position with 6.1% of Indian sales value and Micromax is right behind with 5.4%. So what brand stayed at the top? It’s Samsung with 46.9%, but that’s another story.

Back to the Apple vs Oppo battle, according to another market research company – Counterpoint Research, Oppo arrived at the third position with 7%. At the same time, Apple landed at… no.6 with only 5.6%. At the second position was Lenovo + Motorola (8.5%). The fourth place belonged to Xiaomi (6.8%) and of course, Samsung was on top of the Indian smartphone market, once again.

First, Bluetooth 5 will give you the longer range, specifically 4x times. Handsets with Bluetooth can connect to each other only in a certain distance. The last Bluetooth version supports the distance of 75 meters. With Bluetooth 5, that distance is 4 times more than that, which means about 300 meters. However, of course, this distance is just in theory. In real life, it could be much less. Bluetooth 4.2 works in within 10-15 meters. So, BT 5 can work in the distance of 40/60 meters. Compared to the old BT version, this is a huge improvement.

Secondly, Bluetooth 5 offer the faster speed of transfer. Now, when you have to transfer your data, photos, etc by Bluetooth, it takes you less time than before. To be more specific, you can send files up to 2 times faster. This is because BT 5 supports the highest speed of 2Mbps. With BT 4, you just have 1Mbps. Thirdly, this new Bluetooth is power-saving. As you always heard that using Bluetooth will quickly exhaust your battery capacity. Now, with BT 5, you don’t have to worry about this. This connectivity allows your phone cell to last two times and a half longer compared to Bluetooth 4.2.

Moreover, Bluetooth 5 transfers more data than the old version. The bandwidths of data which can be transferred via Bluetooth are 255 bytes. This number is so much more than 31 bytes of Bluetooth 4.2. With this, advertisers can send promotional data to you more easily, for example in a mall. Moreover, this new Bluetooth can even give you navigational information. For instance, if you’re in a new place, BT 5 will give you the useful info about this place.

Bluetooth 5: new hardware is necessary

These new features of BT 5 are really cool, right?! However, your current devices can not work on BT 5. Of course, a BT 5 device can still connect to a previous Bluetooth gadget.
