Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, Asus, and Sony are very active in launching new phones. Compared to these smartphone brands, Acer is the least frequent brand in launching new products. The latest product of Acer is Liquid Zest Plus launched in April. And now, the Taiwanese company will show up at IFA event this year with two new products – Acer Liquid Z6 and Liquid Z6 Plus. With these two new devices, the company is aiming at the budget segment.

Let’s start with Liquid Z6 first. This phone comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display. Its screen is coated with a 2.5D glass. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.25GHz quad-core MT6753 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Besides, there is 8GB of inbuilt storage. For Liquid Z6 cameras, you can use either an 8MP main cam or a 2MP selfie shooter. The other Acer Liquid Z6 specs include a 2000mAh cell, Android Marshmallow OS, and 4G LTE connectivity.

On the other hand, Liquid Z6 Plus specs are stronger. Under the hood, the phone runs on an octa-core MT 6753 processor and Android 6.0 OS. To ensure performance, the company will add 3GB of RAM along with 32GB of ROM (expandable up to 128GB). For photography, the device is equipped with a 13MP rear shooter and a 5MP front-facing camera. It has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a huge 4080mAh capacity. This higher version also supports 4G LTE.

Acer Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus: price and availability

These two new handsets are expected to bring success to the company. Acer Liquid Z6 release date will be in November while Liquid Z6 Plus is one month later. These two will come at very affordable prices. Acer Liquid Z6 price is about $133 ~ Rs.8909. The higher model has the price which is two times higher than the standard variant. Acer Liquid Z6 Plus price comes at about $277 ~ Rs. 18597.

While it’s only a week until the announcement day of iPhone 7, there have already been some leaks about 2017’s iPhone – Apple iPhone 8. Let’s take a look for more information!

Apple iPhone 8 – The big step forward!

For those who don’t know, 2017 will be ten years after the debut of the first iPhone! Apple must be working really hard to create a masterpiece for the celebration of this lifetime event. The first piece of intel that we’ve got is that the “S” version will be eliminated from 2017’s iPhone which means there will be only one model of iPhone to be introduced next year. There are even hints that the whole series will be reset to zero. However, let’s use Apple iPhone 8 in this article.

One of the biggest change in Apple iPhone 8 could be the replacement of the current LCD display. Instead, next year’s iPhone could possibly carries an MicroLED screen, which offers more vibrant colors, darker black and especially better battery consumption. Moreover, it’s expected that the screen of the phone will have curves on both sides. This feature is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Edge series and the recent Galaxy Note 7, but let’s see what Apple will do to compete with the Korean giant.

Another change in Apple iPhone 8 is going to be the disappearance of the physical home button. And by doing that, the screen-to-body ratio of the phone will be much higher, hence the viewing experience will be much better. There are also reports that the fingerprint scanner will be applied into the entire display, which means just by tapping on the screen, user’s fingerprint will be read.

Apple iPhone 8 – Upgraded chipset

Everyone is surprised by how a dual-core smartphone with sub 2000mAh battery can perform so smoothly and last so long. It’s the exceptional A10 chipset that creates that “miracle”. However, Apple iPhone 8 is reported to carry an upgraded version of the current chipset: A11. This chipset will be mainly produced by Taiwanese chip manufacturer: TSMC. Moto Z Play was confirmed with 10X optical zoom camera

According to some leaks about the Moto Z Play, the phone will come soon this month. Apart from Moto Z Play launch, there is a new Hasselblad Mod coming along with it. This new feature supports taking a photo at a long distant, with 10X optical zoom capability. In terms of design, the phone is measured at 155.9 x 75.8 x 7 mm, which is the same dimensions of the Moto Z Force. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor on the front and a full metal body for a premium look.

The most highlighted feature of this phone is its camera. On the back of the phone, there is a 16 MP main camera which is capable of recording 4K videos. Besides, this camera comes with OIS technology, which promises less blur and smoother videos. Also, there is a 5 MP camera on the front for taking selfies. Moto Z Play camera is better than its sibling – Moto Z with 13MP main+5MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 based on 2 GHz octa-core. It reportedly arrives with Android 6.0 which is upgradeable to the latest Android version: Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone will come in two versions: 2GB RAM+16GB ROM and 3GB RAM +32GB ROM. It is back up by a 3,510mAh battery.

Moto Z Play price and release date

As for Moto Z Play price, it cost around $240 for the 2GB +16GB ROM version. Meanwhile, the 3GB RAM+32GB ROM version is priced at a higher price, around $300. Huawei P9 Plus vs Xiaomi Redmi Pro: Specs fight!

Both smartphones are about the same in terms of processing power. Huawei P9 Plus comes with HiSilicon Kirin 955 based on 2.5GHz octa-core. Along with it is Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. This Huawei phone also packs a 4GB RAM under the hood. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes in three versions with the different processor: MediaTek Helio X25 with Deca-core 2.5 GHz, MediaTek Helio X25 with Deca-core 2.3 GHz, and Mediatek Helio X20 with Deca-core 2.1 GHz. There is also two version of RAM, 3GB and 4GB RAM.

Both phones are ideal for photography. Xiaomi Redmi Pro comes with a dual camera on the rear. That is 13MP main camera supported by 5MP one. They are supported by f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash. Talking about Huawei P9 Plus camera, it has a dual 12 MP camera on the back, with f/2.2, Leica optics, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash. In exchange, Huawei P9 Plus has better selfie camera, with 8MP resolution. The one on Xiaomi Redmi Pro has just 5MP resolution.

Both phones come with 5.5 inches screen with full HD resolution and 401 ppi. But the Huawei phone is a bit better thanks to 3D Touch display and Emotion UI 4.1. In terms of battery, Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the winner with a 4050 mAh battery, compared to a 3400 mAh one on the Xiaomi phone.

Huawei P9 plus vs Xiaomi Redmi Pro: Pricing

Before making a decision, let’s talk about the price. Huawei P9 Plus price is $788. Meanwhile, three variants of Xiaomi Redmi Pro have different prices. The first version with 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM costs $226. The 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant costs $255. The last one with 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant falls at $300. So, Xiaomi Redmi Pro is cheaper than its rival. Look back on this battle, Huawei P9 Plus arrives with bigger selfie camera and a bit better screen. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi Pro specs aren’t too far from Huawei P9 Plus. It even has a better main camera and a bigger battery. Most importantly, the Xiaomi phone is cheaper than its counterpart for three versions. So, Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the clear winner in Huawei P9 vs Xiaomi Redmi Pro battle.

Recently, the rumored HTC Desire 10 Pro specs has been leaked on GFX Bench, while HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle specs also appeared on Antutu. HTC is really on a roll here! Let’s take a look at these HTC new smartphones!

HTC new smartphones: HTC Desire 10 Pro & HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle

The first of the 2 HTC new smartphones is HTC Desire 10 Pro. HTC Desire 10 Pro specs are leaked yesterday on GFX Bench. The first notable thing is that it will have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow installed. That is an interesting choice, considering that Android 7.0 Nougat is already available. However, those specs may change with the release, since this is not HTC’s official words. Also, according to GFX Benchmark, this device will come with a 5.1″ display with Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440.

The smartphone’s performance will be driven by Quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.1Ghz, accompanied by 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Desire 10 Pro seems to have  12MP rear camera with auto-focus, face detection, and LED flash, with 4K video recording ability. The front camera will be 5MP for selfies and video chat. There’s no mention of battery yet, unfortunately. But based on these specs, we believe the battery capacity would be more or less the same with HTC 10, at 3,000mAh. This is the premium one of HTC new smartphones.

According to Antutu, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle, one of HTC new smartphones, is supposedly a budget version of the released HTC 10. So naturally, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle specs will be lower than HTC 10, and HTC Desire 10 Pro. Same as Desire 10 Pro, this device will have Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow installed. Desire 10 Lifestyle will have 720p (HD) display, no size was mentioned. Under the hood, there will be quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, accompanied by 2GB RAM. This may disappoint quite a few people. There will be a 13MP/5MP back and front camera combo. There will be fingerprint sensor at the back, and all physical keys will be on the right side. Three capacity buttons are located below the display.

HTC new smartphones: Price range

Same as specs, the price for these two new devices are only speculated. There’s nothing on the HTC Desire 10 Pro price yet. However, we suspect it will be around the same price of HTC 10 based on the specs, which is $699. On the other hand, HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle price is rumored to be less than $200. If its specs are true, we believe that would be a reasonable price. But remember, everything is just speculation at this point. We need to have HTC’s official announcement.
