3 reasons why physical iPhone home button should be kept

iPhone 2016 is reported to not have the physical home button, but a capacitive one. However, many people don’t think that it’s a right decision. Here are why the physical iPhone home button should be kept.

iPhone home button

Physical iPhone home button: standing out from the crowd

First of all, the physical iPhone home button makes iPhone distinctive from Android smartphones. Nowadays, Android phones occupy more than 80% market shares compared to iPhone and Windows Phones. And most of those phones have the same design and the similar look. Now, if the company eliminate this button to make the screen bigger, iPhone will not be the same. It will be just like the Android phone under the name of Apple.

Secondly, everything will be easier in the dark. When using iPhone in the low light condition or in the dark, your action will be clean and faster. Just a press and you can wake up our phone. With physical iPhone home button, you can easily go back to the main screen. The manufacturer is also able to add the fingerprint sensor embedded on this button.

iPhone home button

Thirdly, most iPhone fans want to keep this home button. There is the fact that capacitive home button smartphones are now becoming a trend, both on Android phones and Windows phones. However, many iPhone fans don’t like this elimination. Taking up such change will result in having to start a new habit all over again, which is rather not preferable.

Physical iPhone home button: indispensable part of iPhone

It is undeniable that smartphones with capacitive home button have many advantages. It will save the space, which makes the screen bigger and the bezels thinner. Not to mention that the physical iPhone home button can be worn out through the time. However, it is still a signature and indispensable part of iPhone design. It makes iPhone unique and one of the kind.

A Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery test has just been conducted by phoneareana.com. Besides Note 7, many other flagships also participated! Let’s take a look at the result!

samsung galaxy note 7 battery

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery test: Surprising result

To be more specific, joining Samsung Galaxy Note 7 today are its predecessors including Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge; and some of its rivals in the market including Apple iPhone 6s Plus, HTC 10, OnePlus 3 and LG G5. The first impression of the result is that there is a steady progress with Samsung devices through the years. Note 3, with 3200mAh battery, only lasts for 6 hours 8 minutes while Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery, with 3500mAh capacity, lasts for 9 hours 49 minutes.

We also tested Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery the Snapdragon version, but the result was 7 hours 55 minutes, much worse than that of the Exynos version. Such gap is due to the fact that the Exynos chipset include two quad-core processors, one with high clock speed which is only used for handling heavy tasks, the other with low clock speed for dealing simple tasks without consume much of the battery. On the other hand, Snapdragon 820 chipset has a single quad-core processor with high clock speed for all tasks.

samsung galaxy note 7 battery hihi

Also according to the result, iPhone 6s Plus, with 2750mAh battery, remains “alive” for the same period of time as the… Galaxy Note 5: 9 hours 11 minutes. Besides, HTC 10, with 3000mAh battery, lasts 7 hours 10 minutes; OnePlus 3, also with 3000mAh cell, stays alive for 5 hours 53 minutes and LG G5, with 2800mAh battery, survives 5 hours 51 minutes.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery tests: Capacity is not the only thing that counts

So according to the test, Note 7 the Exynos chipset has beaten all other flagships in terms of battery. Many of you may claim that this victory is obvious cause the capacity of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 battery is higher than all the others. Or you may say that iPhone is the real winner because with only 2750mAh battery, it lasts 9 hours and 11 minutes! In fact, we need to consider both the capacity and the specs. iPhone lasts for a long period of time with its 2750mAh battery because it comes with a dual-core processor and 5.5-inch full HD display. Meanwhile, Note 7 packs an octa-core processor and 5.7-inch 2k display, which makes Note 7’s victory very convincing.

And if you love small screen, this Zenfone is born for you since its screen is 4,5 inch with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The cameras are also the same. The front Asus ZenFone Go camera is 2MP and the main camera is 8MP. Although these are not very fancy, such resolutions are decent enough to capture defined pictures.

Unlike the design, the new Asus ZenFone Go specs come with more differences. The old Android v5.1 is replaced by the new Android v6.0 (Marshmallow), which many users prefer. Furthermore, the chipset is now more advanced by the changing from Snapdragon 200 to Snapdragon 410. The new chipset makes the device operate much faster. But the updates don’t stop there. The new Zenfone Go features Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53. When the old Zenfone Go only sports Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7.

Asus Zenfone Go new version

Unfortunately, these updates do not include the 1 GB RAM and the 8GB storage – which is quite humble compared to the market today. But Asus has smart enough to extend their expandable storage, up to 256 GB instead of just 64GB like in the old version. The memory card can be put into a second SIM Card slot to save space.

New Asus ZenFone Go: price and availability

Asus Zenfone Go has been released for sale earlier this month. Therefore, you can start grabbing it from now. In case you’re wondering about the price, Asus Zenfone Go price is only $123, which is very affordable. A huge 256GB ROM mobile for a tiny budget, anyone?
