X Cam and X Screen – Mid-rangers but feel like high-end smartphones

There will be up to 2 new models coming along with LG G5 – the flagship and their names are really interesting: X Cam and X Screen. From the way they are called, we understand that one handset will focus much on camera while the other on display. And yes, when searching more information about them, we found the Cam will pack a dual rear shooter and the Screen borrows the V10’s secondary display, or a dual screen.

According to the manufacturer, both will be mid-rangers “for customers who do not want or need all the bells and whistles that come with today’s high-end phones.” Though, you’re gonna see some features borrowed from LG’s high-end machines. Speaking specifically, LG X Cam specs include two snappers on the back with one capable of 13 megapixels and the other 5 megapixels, a 5.2-inch Full HD screen, a 1.14GHz octa-core chip, 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, a 2,520mAh battery, a 8MP front cam, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.

As for LG X Screen specs, there are a handy 4.93-inch HD main display plus a 1.76-inch secondary one, 16GB ROM, 2GB RAM, a 2,300mAh battery, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Besides, it’s also got a fantastic combo of 13MP primary and 8MP selfie camera to help you take pictures.

They are planned to debut in Asia, Europe and Latin America first in March, 2016, yet the official launch date will be February 22, right after LG G5 gets announced event at Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year. Recently, fans found a tweet from Lenovo Twitter with the hashtag #KnockOut Coming Soon MWC 2016, hinting the debut of a new smartphone later this month. And our sources are suggesting that this new budget beast is going be Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus. Lenovo India has also joined the campaign and tweeted this saying “A gorgeous new device has been engineered from scratch to deliver the #Knockout punch. Brace yourselves”

From the teaser we spotted recently, the picture shows liquid metal being pour on a phone, which could be the hint that Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus is going to have a full metal body to give it a more premium look despite the low price. Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus is the successor of the company’s previous mid-ranger Lemon 3, which was launched in China earlier this year. The smartphone will be equipped with 3GB of RAM and Adreo 405 GPU.

Other Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus specs we know for now include a popular 5.5 inch display with FHD resolution, Snapdragon 616 chip and strong octa core. The smartphone has a 16GB internal storage that can be expandable into another 128GB. The smartphone is capable of 4G LTE and sport 13MP/5MP camera shooters.

Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus price: super affordable

Nokia confirmed to join Mobile World Congress 2016

And the country is India. According to our source, another Lenovo factory will be built in Tamil Nadu to produce smartphones in the future, with their familiar brands Moto and Vibe. Sudhin Mathur, Lenovo India’s head of the smartphone department, said : “Outside China, India is the only country where we are manufacturing both Moto and Lenovo phones. We intend to enhance our manufacturing capabilities in India and in 2016, more than half of the smartphones we sell here would be Made in India”

The reasons for this is pretty obvious. Firstly, India was one of the biggest smartphone markets that consumed the most smartphones in the past years, making it a very potential target, not only for Lenovo, but also other producers. And Lenovo chose to build an extra factory in order to boost their sale in India this 2016. Xiaomi Mi5 specs: No more questions or doubts

Previously, we always knew that Xiaomi Mi5 would sport the new, powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage, and a 16MP main camera. But, yes, that was before. Everything can change as time passes by, right?! Now, all of Xiaomi Mi5 specs have appeared on GFXBench and we are also a bit eager to look at it to see if there are any differences!

Accordingly, luckily Xiaomi Mi5 will still be equipped with a Snapdragon 820 paired with Adreno 530 GPU and a big 5.7-inch screen, yet supporting Full HD resolution, not the Quad HD we were always dreaming about. Even 4GB RAM will not be on board but 3GB RAM and there will only one option for the ROM capacity: 64GB. However, Android 6.0 Marshmallow is surely to run the handset, which makes us not so disappointed about the coming Xiaomi flagship.

Well, no words have been made for the cam, so there is still chance for the 16MP shooter. In general, those are excellent features for a smartphone; nonetheless, we have to admit that we were expecting more than them. Though, some sources said that there would be 2 versions of Mi5: Full HD + 3GB RAM and 2K + 4GB RAM. If so, the one on GFXBench is the first ver and the second will come later.

Xiaomi Mi5 price and availability

Again, we would like to remind you that Xiaomi Mi5 launch is getting closer, on February 24, 2016 to be specific.
