Samsung Galaxy S7 will be announced in January 2016?

Samsung Galaxy S7, the next generation of popular Galaxy S6 from the Korean company has been catching attention with rumors about its upcoming processor. And the question being currently asked is that, whether the Galaxy S7 will be released soon, or will Samsung keep us waiting for long.

Samsung Galaxy S7 release date

Recently, Korean news outlet, the ETNews, has just reported that the latest generation Samsung smartphone will have its official debut in January 2016. Yes, if everything goes right, we will have the Samsung Galaxy S6 release on January 19, 2016, hopefully with 2 other versions: the “Premium” and a “sub-premium” devices.

As you may have noticed, with the S6 generation, Samsung introduced their innovative curved screen with the Galaxy S6 Edge. We have also heard that, this time, Samsung will follow the same pattern, which means we will have both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge with beautiful curved display. (This may be why we already have the Galaxy S7 concept design shared over the internet)

Samsung Galaxy S7 specs

In terms of Samsung Galaxy S7 specs, I agree it has gone a little bit too confusing. Earlier we heard that Samsung is developing a powerful Exynos 8890 chip set for this flagship, which is even stronger than the previous Exynos 7420. Then, later on, there are rumors suggesting that, the device will come with 3 different variants of chip sets for the smartphone.

Other interesting Samsung Galaxy S7 specs include USB Type C port, which is pretty trendy now, allegedly dual cameras with 20MP sensor.

It is good that we have some hints as early as now about the upcoming monster from Samsung (well, I hope it will be a real spec monster). However, everything could always change, even at the last minute. We are more than eager to know the finalized Galaxy S7 specs confirmed by Samsung. And of course, will keep up updated as soon as we get any further information.

Nokia Comeback 2016 hotter than ever: Nokia supply MILLIONS of LTE devices in China

Nokia is going to provide one million TD-LTE devices for China Mobile and authorize Nokia Networks to supply this world’s largest mobile operator with their TD-LTE-Advanced tech! They are not just about Nokia smartphones, wow!

Nokia supply

NOKIA Supply LTE: I won’t just bring you dream phones!

Previously, China Mobile has announced the plan of installing a million TDLTE base stations at the end of the year. And guess who is the winner of this contract? Yes, it’s Nokia Networks. This movement also means Nokia has now become the telco’s the largest foreign vendor in China, a market that already has a lot of strong and rich domestic vendors. The advanced technology Nokia supply China Mobile is based on the Flexi Multiradio 10 Base Station.

“This deal is a big achievement that makes us the number one non-Chinese network vendor in China for the third year in a row,” said Mike Wang, President of Greater China for Nokia Networks. We will see Nokia supply a wide range of frequency bands such as 2.6GHz (band 41), 2.3GHz (band 40) and 1.9GHz (band 39), making data transfer much quicker and stronger when used in big crowds.

Nokia supply

September, 2015, China Mobile displayed 220Mbps peak data transfer rates at Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2015 and they were created on Nokia Networks’ on 3.5GHz interband TD-LTE-Advanced carrier aggregators. In addition, the companies have also demonstrated 4.1Gbps speed with the  TDD-FDD carrier aggregation of Nokia.

NOKIA Supply LTE – Great network, greater comeback!

According to Nokia Networks, they have 50 commercial references on 6 continents in terms of delivering TD-LTE radio technology. That is such an impressive number for the Finnish company! All of these plans and contract are contributing to reaffirm the reputation, strength and capabilities of the company. More interesting, these help reaffirm a great development as well as Nokia comeback next year! I just can’t wait to see you back, smartphone Legend!

Android devices are the most INSECURE to date, with 87% AT RISK…

Earlier we have informed you that over 1 billion Android devices are vulnerable to a new remote hacking.

However, little does any Android user know that, almost ALL Android devices are at constant risk due to lack of security update from OEMs.

Android devices

Recent research partially funded by Google and conducted by the University of Cambridge have concluded that, up to a whooping 87% of current Android devices are now very vulnerable due to the lack of security updates. This means if you have an Android-based smartphone for the past 4 years up to now, the chance is very high that your device can easily be attacked by malicious applications.

To come to their conclusion, the researchers for the University of Cambridge have collected data by asking around 20,000 users download and run an app called Device Analyzer. The result collected by the test will help researchers rank different Android OEMs on the percentage of devices safe from security risks. This will also show the number of vulnerabilities each smartphone producers have NOT fix on their devices.

Android devices lack of security – call for the solutions?

87% is such a huge number that could make any of us Android users worry. Yes, both me and you are very possible to be a “victim” also. And also in the research this time, Google have pointed out which smartphone producers tend to be the “safest” available.

According to that, Google Nexus is the best OEM in terms of regular providing of security updates for Android devices, with 5.2 out of 10 score. Following Nexus are LG with 4 out of 10 and Motorola with 3.1. Unfortunately, Samsung, Sony, HTC and Asus (all of the most popular brands) have been left far behind with just 2.7 to 2.4 points.

Android devices

This is absolutely not a good piece of news for any user. Especially when Android is the biggest now among all OS. The lack of security can be a big reason that makes users lose trust and start to change. Therefore, Google, Samsung and many other Android OEMs are working hard to provide monthly updates for billions of Android devices being used now.

Samsung Galaxy S7 edge concept: Breathtakingly beautiful design

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge has brought Samsung great success and a good sign showing that they are using the right material and design for their smartphones. And if  the company is working on a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge to launch with Samsumg Galaxy S7 in the future, it is not something much surprising. However, the question is that whether S7 edge can be as successful as its predecessor?

There are still several months before the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge release date, but many Samsung fans cannot wait to see it in real life. As a result, concepts for S7 edge were born to satisfy people’s desire as well as curiosity.

Here we got one and a special thing about it is that Galaxy S7 Edge takes the trapezoid shape, looking pretty similar to a device in a Samsung’s recent patent. In the pictures, we see that extra display space replaces bezels on Samsung Galaxy S6 edge and almost move to the top and the bottom of the device.

In general, the handset seems strong and sturdy even without the physical home button. The rear camera is designed in a beautiful way and it seems hard for the cam’s lens to be scratched or damaged. On the other hand, there are volume control buttons placed on one side of the phone.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge specs, we are not aware of much information about them but prediction is that S7 edge features will be similar to Samsung Galaxy S7 specs. For example, it can boast a Force Touch-like display, a USB Type-C port, fast charging and data transferring tech (those are what we heard about the Galaxy S7 specifications).

In the end, though it is a concept, we hope that it will come true since the design is gorgeous. Don’t you think?

Science breaking: NASA unveiled plans to send humans to Mars PERMANENTLY

Not long ago, NASA released a detailed plan showing their intention of sending people to Mars FOR GOOOOOD!

Yes, NASA’s final goal is to send a group of very brave explorers to Mars to do something that can prove their ultimate goal of being “Earth independence.” Though NASA has not confirm that we will successfully colonize Mars, it feels like they are pretty optimistic about the planet’s potential to sustain life.

Accordingly, the plan has three thresholds: Earth Reliant, Proving Ground and Earth Independent. Earth Reliant includes research that is being conducted aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Furthermore, scientists will base on experiments there to determine the long-term effects of deep space travel, so that Proving Ground can test requirements for humans to live and work at distances far away from the our planet. As for the Earth Independent, which is the most important step of all, will decide if we can live on Mars.

Many sources claimed that NASA has already had a budget for the journey and plans for taking some crucial steps in the early 2020s, starting with testing their Orion spacecraft containing humans inside. Previously, NASA was able to successfully examine the shuttle without humans and they look forward to success again.

According to William Gerstenmaier, associate administrator for Human Exploration and Operations at NASA headquarters, “NASA’s strategy connects near-term activities and capability development to the journey to Mars and a future with a sustainable human presence in deep space.”  However, there are some obstacles that NASA has to overcome on the journey of “Earth independence” and nobody knows whether they can do it or not.

Yet, they have taken around 40 years to discover Mars, using orbiters, landers and rovers to study Mars, so we are sure that they do have abilities to solve all the problems. And humans setting foot on the Red Planet may be not just a dream! We will probably know the answer as early as the 2030s.

Apple stealing AGAIN, charged a heavy $862 millions FOR….

Do you think 862 million dollars is a small number? Of course not! But, Apple will probably have to pay that much for what they did!

apple stealing

According to Reuters, a U.S. jury has recently found Apple guilty of equipping their A7, A8 and A8X chipset with a patented technology by the University of Wisconsin-Madison (WARF). There is a strong possibility that Apple will have to face a huge damage pay out, about 862 million dollars, this time.

Specifically, WARF has been owning the license since 1998. The tech is about improving energy consumption effectively and increasing the chip’s productivity without wasting too much battery energy. That sounds like something not only Apple but also many other manufacturers would want to do to their smartphones.

In fact, Apple A7, A8 and A8X chip are being used in Apple iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and some Apple iPad versions, and maybe they are going to get involved in the patent infringement case WARF has just raised up. This somehow reminds us of a similar situation happening last month when WARF was also the one to take up a lawsuit against Apple, targeting Apple A9 and A9X processors used in Apple iPhone 6S and iPad Pro.

Apple got sued in January 2014 and the result has been announced by the jury. Apple has to pay the University of Wisconsin-Madison 234 million dollars for the the patent infringement in terms of Microprocessor, according to AFP.

“This is a case where the hard work of our university researchers and the integrity of patenting and licensing discoveries has prevailed,” Carl Gulbrandsen, managing director of WARF. They was seeking 400 million dollars in damages, but the jury decided to award less than the expected amount, which is not unusual, basing on what Shane Brunner, who is a partner at the Madison law firm of Merchant & Gould and not involved in the case, said.

At the moment, new products of Apple such as Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have sported the Apple A9 and A9X chip.

So, what do you think about the situation and the amount of money that Apple must pay out? Is it fair to WARF?

She thought she lost her phone into the ocean, but then a huge surprise happened!

Everyone of us know that feeling of seeing the world freezes when we accidentally drop our smartphone into water. Especially into the ocean. BAM! Getting water damaged is one thing, the chance of finding it is another big problem. Almost impossible. Unless….
Unles you are a professional model and dancer for the Miami Heat like. Teressa was doing a photo shoot set on a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

Unfortunately, for a moment of carelessness, Teressa’s phone was dropped into the deep water. Everyone was holding their breath seeing the device sinking and sinking into the ocean. BOOM! There gone the smartphone. Teressa was about to say farewell to it until…

.
.
.
Until only seconds later, something magical emerged from the water surface, and brought the whole crew the biggest surprise ever. Luckily, this whole surprise was caught on video. Teressa had a much better day then thanks to a new-found hero.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3c59zthQ2g

Are you surprised at what you just watched? The moment when the dolphin came up from the deep water in Blue Island Lagoon in the Caribbean, I can’t believe in my eyes!

This area has a quite a lot of dolphins living, which is a huge attraction to tourists. That could be explain these dolphins are used to seeing human around, and probably have met those who dropped their smartphones into the water more than once. They know how important a cell phone is to us? Maybe not, but the action of this dolphin when it decided to bring Teressa back her lost belonging is just too adorable to handle.

If you are a tourist to the area, you may have recognized the dolphin by now. It is Cacique, a well-known and playful friend in the lagoon. With this heart-warming action, we guess Cacique will only get more and more people to come visit. Teressa’s dropped phone could be death by then, since it doesn’t look like a waterproof smartphone. But the memory she had is just priceless, which money can’t buy!

Nokia’s newest Invention for 2016: Helping the Poorest!

Nokia’s Comeback is coming soon with the newest Nokia Android phones like the Nokia C1. But it seems this is not the only surprise that Nokia is preparing for us. Nokia presents a new environment friendly version for all of you who like to – wait for it – BYCYCLE.

Nokia’s New Bycicle Charger Kit, lets you charge your mobile phone, just by using your pedals. Nokia’s bycicle kit uses a small dynamo, very similar to the ones found to power your front and back light. How long it takes to fully charge your phone, obvioulsy depends on your smartphone and smartphone battery. We just have data from Nokia for the Legendary Nokia 1202. For 20 minutes of pedaling you get 74 hours of standby time, not bad at all. You dont need to worry to send spikes of electricity to your Nokia smartphone, the kit will cut down the electricity if you go faster then 50 km/h.

Nokia’s Bicycle Charger Kit will be usable with any Nokia mobile Phone. The idea is of course not new and might be more of a Marketing Gimmick for the Comeback of Nokia 2016. On the other hand, Nokia Feature phones are still the world’s most sold phones. In rural areas where electricty is rare or sometimes not available at all, might be a very welcome solution for all those Nokia phone holders.

The Nokia Bycicle Kit was introduced specifically for African Communities where the biggest problem for sustainable communication is often not mobile phones or networks, but no stable electricity. Giving that there are still very hard conditions in many places worldwide, and these Basic Bottle Dynamos are fairly cheap, the idea doesnt seem to bad.

In fact the Billions in Change project by Manoj Bhargava has invented a similar, although way more powerful solution. With their Free Electric hybrid bike, rural households can get up to 24 hours of free electricty! So lets hope Nokia is going down the right road for their comeback!

Aliens are real, found by NASA in the Milky Way

A star identified by NASA’s Kepler Space Telescope have features of very complicated structures which could point to an advanced technological civilization. Or to be very frank, the structure could have been built by aliens.

Exact quoting from the astronomers has it said, the megastructure of a large cluster of objects in space look like something you would “expect an alien civilization to build”. The mysterious object was found surrounding a giant star called KIC 8462852 and looks like nothing human being could build. The KIC 8462852 star lies just above the Milky Way and Kepler has been collecting data on this star for four years and detected an unusual light pattern.

aliens

In response to the curious public, Jason Wright, an astronomer from Penn State University, told the Atlantic “I was fascinated by how crazy it looked,” and that “Aliens should always be the very last hypothesis you consider, but this looked like something you would expect an alien civilization to build.”

Yes, you are reading it right to every word. A-L-I-E-N-S. This is no joking, and I am not taking it from a scene of a sci-fi movie either. Though have not been officially scientifically proven, the sight of such mega-structure object is such a surprising and unexpected truth that has been challenging our astronomers and experts from NASA.

NASA is working non-stop to give an explanation for this phenomenon. “If things go really well, the follow-up could happen sooner,” Wright told The Atlantic. “If we saw something exciting… we’d be asking to go on right away.”
