Sony Xperia C5 Ultra: 6”, bezel free and dual 13MP
Together with Sony Xperia M5, Sony previously outed Xperia C5 Ultra – targeted as a selfie flagship. The C5 Ultra is an improved version of the C4 and C4 Dual launched earlier this year.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra carries many features that make it very potential of becoming the next hit device that everyone falls in love with: beautiful design, premium selfie sensor, good battery and a reasonable price tag.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra cameras
Introduced as a selfie flagship, the C5 Ultra cameras are obviously the first to be noticed. The device goes with 13MP lens for both rear and front shooters. With wide-angle function for front camera, users can easily take great shots and make big group pictures. More interestingly, Sony’s Superior Auto and autofocus are featured on both front and back to capture clearest and sharpest quality imaginable.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra other specs
The Xperia C5 Ultra display is generously 6” FHD with signature Mobile BRAVIA® Engine 2 technology. The handset is backed by 2 GB RAM, 64 bit Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53. The Xperia C5 Ultra battery is up to 2930 mAh. Although 3,000 mAH is not an impressive capacity since we already have smartphones with 6,000 mAH and over, this battery can help run the device in 2 days for normal usage. As a selfie flagship, these specs are good enough to attract many users, especially selfie lover and Sony fans.
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra design
One thing that is outstanding of the Xperia C5 Ultra is its high display-body ratio. The display screen is maximized with wafer-thin bezel to make it bigger than other 6-inch device. And we find this ad on Sony’s official page with pretty much wrap up the device’s good design
“Together with a cool aluminium frame and an ever so slightly curved back, it’s a smartphone that feels as good as it looks” – Sony
Sony Xperia C5 Ultra – other things you need to know
We will go short and sharp with this part and make it easier for you to read. Beside dual 13MP cameras, premium design, good battery, here are some other details about the Xperia C5 Ultra that add in to its attraction:
– Available in 3 popular colors: Crisp White, Sleek Black and Cool Mint
– One-handed mode supported, so you can still use it conveniently with 1 hand without sacrificing the big screen
– The selfie shooter has Sony’s unique Selfie Flash to light up the picture
– ~75.9% screen-to-body ratio to make it bigger without being actually bigger

Lenovo Zuk Z1: 3GB RAM & 4100mAh for only PHP 13K
Looking for affordable phones? You may have heard of Asus Zenfone 2 series or other smart phones pricing under 10k with good specs, but there are more and more released each day. Therefore, each day provides a new choice for your money to spend wisely on. And for today, we suggest the newest handset Zuk Z1 from Lenovo and its cooperator.

ZUK Z1 is a smart phone developed by ZUK, which is a company sponsored by Lenovo.
Zuk Z1 design
At first glance, Lenovo Zuk Z1 design is quite beautiful with its curved corners. The way the home button is positioned makes the phone looks more appealing. Additionally, the Home button acts as a fingerprint scanner too. It seems fingerprint security is more popular nowadays, not only on high end devices like Sony Xperia Z5 anymore.
Zuk Z1 display is a 5.5’’ FHD screen, which is great for those who want a big display for viewing experience. Android Lollipop will provide the user interface, so of course it will look nice.
Zuk Z1 specs also list out Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.5GHz processor, which is an another amazing thing on this handset. Together with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, there is nothing Lenovo Zuk Z1 can NOT do for you.
Lenovo Zuk Z1 camera is a 13MP Sony sensor with an aperture of f/2.2. It also features optical image stabilization for more high quality photos.

Zuk Z1 specs are very powerful for its price, another rival to Asus Zenfone or Meizu M2 Note?
Zuk Z1 camera features do not end there. Its front camera is a 8MP one, a plus for those who love taking selfies.
Moreover, Zuk Z1 battery is a huge 4100mAh. This capacity is much more larger than that on many popular mid end or high end smart phones.
For other features, Lenovo Zuk Z1 supports USB Type C, in case you wonder.
Lenovo Zuk Z1 price in the Philippines will be around 13k. Since this is such a great deal, we hope Lenovo will bring it to our country soon.
Nokia recruiting talents, planning further for their coming back!
Though Nokia sold their mobile division to the Redmond-based company, it seems like nothing can stop them to come back to the mobile market next year. Once the non-compete deal between Microsoft and Nokia ends, they will return to producing phones, but perhaps in co-operation with with someone else.
Right now, Nokia is planning for a brand licensing model of their own and putting much effort in finding human resources for making the upcoming machine. We say this because not long ago, Nokia was caught advertising many new jobs on LinkedIn network. Some of the positions are related to product development, while some of other are for engineers focusing on Android. This makes us think that Nokia will enter the Android smartphone field in the future.
On the other hand, we can see that Nokia wants to experiment something new besides regaining the success they used to have. One example is Nokia N1, which is an Foxconn-made tablet coming with good specs and design. Furthermore, we all know that it is the very first device to sport a USB Type-C port, a feature that most smartphone brands are intending to equip their handsets with. Despite the limited markets for Nokia N1, it is still a great way to step into this new business area. Apart from the Nokia N1, their new projects include Z Launcher and Virtual Reality camera.

ZLauncher is a new interface for all Android phones of Nokia. Currently, it has just been released with a beta version. It is really easy to use ZLaunch. It has a quickly searching function that you can use only one finger to launch the program or content you need.
Nokia N1 runs on Nokia ZLauncher!
As for the Nokia VR camera, actually it is named Nokia OZO and described as “the first commercially available virtual reality (VR) camera designed and built for professional content creators and the first in a planned portfolio of digital media solutions from Nokia Technologies, the company’s advanced technology and licensing business.” With this camera, you can capture stereoscopic 3D video in 360-degree panoramas. And if having VR headsets, you can watch videos with a feeling like you are in the middle of the action. Sounds great!
So, in conclusion, we are glad that Nokia is taking many moves to prepare for their return in 2016 by starting hiring many talents for the company and thinking of new interesting things. Hope a new Nokia machine will be coming soon!

Before 2015, Asus focused their business mainly on manufacturing PCs, laptops and notebooks, which brought in more than 50% yearly revenue. But the story has changed quite a lot now….
Asus smartphones have changed the story
On August 6, Asus held their Zen Festival 2015 to proudly launched 3 new brothers of the world-famous Zenfone 2. However, with positive feedback the company has been receiving, during the Zen Festival held on August 6, onney Shih, Asus’s chairman shared:
“The PC market is slowly showing signs of decay as the world is moving to a cloud first, mobile first platform. “Nearly 20 percent of our revenue comes from smartphones, and by 2017 we are expecting that more than 50 percent of our revenues will come from this vertical,” Shih said.
“Our growth has been steady and the group has been growing at a pace of 20 percent year-on-year. We intend to carry forward the momentum this year as well,” he continued
Shih made his point very well-heard. The new Taiwanese Giant will switch their goals and focused products from PCs and laptops to smartphones.
Also in the Zen Festival Shih shared about the reasons why the company choose to stick to Intel chips for their Asus smartphones instead of Mediatek or Qualcomm. According to Asus, Intel chips help run the smartphones smoothly and do not face any heating problems.
