Oneplus 2, the flagship that was sold out for just 64 seconds, is going to have its younger brother at the end of this year. Excited yet, Price Pony readers? It seems the Taiwanese company wants to make it hotter with the release of a OnePlus Mini. Since Oneplus Two is already trending, it is of course a wise move to make another variant. It seems Oneplus will never settle until it climbs to the top.

OnePlus Mini – what we know so far

Oneplus Mini will follow Oneplus 2 to be another hot trend from Oneplus this year.

Oneplus 2 price and its specs easily make it on top of a must-have list.

Unlike earlier rumours, this smart phone will be named Oneplus Mini instead of Oneplus 3 or Oneplus 2S. According to the name, we can imagine that Oneplus Mini display will be smaller than that of Oneplus 2. However, the Mini could mean that Oneplus Mini specs are for a toned down version of Oneplus 2 as well. Therefore, its price will be lowered and more affordable.

Since there are no official source confirming the release of Oneplus Mini, everyone should just keep in mind that this may or may not be true. Nevetheless, if Oneplus Mini is to launch, it seems that Oneplus Mini will be released at the end of 2015. Oneplus Mini price and availability are not known yet, but we guess it will be reasonable. Hopefully, we can get it to the Philippines soon. Since Oneplus Two price in the Philippines is around 20k now, so Oneplus Mini price won’t be very high.

Considering the specs OnePlus 2 is currently carrying, we are expecting the OnePlus Mini display size to be around a handy 4.7 – 5”. For the OnePlus 2 price in Philippines is now PHP 21K, it would be ideal if the Mini version goes with a price tag of sub PHP 10K or at least sub PHP 15K

The first change Google have made to this Nexus 5 2015 to provoke curiosity from users is a smaller display and a more affordable price tag. To make it more appealing, Antutu also unveiled the first version of Nexus 5 2015 benchmark result. The device scored an impressive 85,000. This is way higher than the trendy Galaxy Note 5 Antutu scores. If the result is finalized, then we can totally anticipate an outstanding flagship coming up this year.

According to trusty leakings, the Huawei Nexus 5 2015 will go with a handy 5.2” FHD IPS display and 3,180mAH battery or bigger. The device will be powered by strong 4GB of RAM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 620 chipset. The Snapdragon 620, despite not being released yet, is already one of the most expected chip for future flagship killers, which include the Nexus 5 2015 version.

Other Nexus 5 2015 specs we know for now include octa-core CPU, wireless charging receiver and Marvell Avastar 88W8897 connectivity chipset for Wi-fi and Blutooth 4.2. The device is also rumored to have stereo speakers.

You can expect a launching event at the end of this year or in early 2016.

Recently, we have been overwhelmed with the news and rumours that Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will not feature a microSD card slot. With a larger internal memory, the higher price the version will be. Paying more just because of not enough data storage seems not so reasonable and economical to many users. However, this does not seem to be the case on the dual sim variant of 4GB RAM Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

It seems the Dual SIm version will support a microSD card slot, according to some Taiwanese source. Nevertheless, it is based on the new technology on smart phones that the second SIM shares the same slot with the microSD. For those who want to use both of the features at the same time, it seems a little incovienient.

Another not so good news is that the Dual Sim variant of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be available in chosen territories only. Therefore, even when you can insert a microSD on a Galaxy Note 5, it only happens you can really get your hands on one. Will you pay more just to have an expandable 128GB more?

For those who does not want to go through the hassle of ordering this Samsung Galaxy Note 5 dual sim, the 64/128GB variants will always be there for you. With our without microSD option, Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will probably cost the same, either way.

Well, nothing is confirmed yet, so we should wait until August 13, which is just 3 days from now on. Maybe Samsung will launch a microSD version of both Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ plus in the Philippines, who knows?

OnePlus 2, the promising 2016 flagship killer – which have caught a lot of attention lately – has showed up on Lazada PH with a final retail price. Scroll down to know how much is the OnePlus 2 official price in Philippines.

Originally, OnePlus 2 price was set at $389 for the 4GB RAM variant. This means the 4GB RAM OnePlus 2 official price in the Philippines is equivalent to PHP 17,790 before taxes and VAT. And on Lazada PH, OnePlus 2 4GB RAM price tag is spotted at PHP 21,799, which is PHP 4,000 higher than the original price in their home land.

Many people have shared their experience with OnePlus 1 and opinion about OnePlus 2. We have noticed that, while many are super excited about the device, others doubt its price will be a bit overwhelming compared to other flagships of the same category. But the high 60,000 Antutu benchmark the OnePlus 2 scored is surely great selling points.

If this is a successful move, Meizu would likely to jump completely to Samsung for their chipsets. Or in the long terms, would Meizu produce their own chipset, like Xiaomi ?

Nothing is known yet, so we are not sure whether this is 100% true. If this is, then the technology world would have a new status, as Samsung would likely lead on both smart phone and chipset. About Meizu, with their new handset price at around $483, it would be undoubtedly a flagship killer, either.

Everdisplay has just unveil their new 4k AMOLED display, which is the first in this world. As the manufacturer has stated that this display won’t be used on a TV, we can be sure that it will be sported on tablets and mobiles, or other portable devices.

Everdisplay 4k Amoled display is a 6’’ screen with the resolution of 3840 x 2160p, with the great pixel density of 734 ppi. This is a new record for an AMOLED display, since the last record was Samsung Galaxy S6 with 557 ppi.

The prototype made by Everdisplay is said to work fine, but this manufacturer does not state when this kind of 4k display will come into mass production. If this comes true, we will be having 4k smart phones soon, and for a very reasonable price also. However, some researchers and professionals say that this kind of display is more well suited for a virtual reality gear than smart phone. The reason behind this statement is that not many people can regconize the difference between a 4k display and a normal HD display.

This is not the first new 4k display, but it is the first on an AMOLED screen. Therefore, we can hope that this technology will be used widely soon.
