Nokia’s return to the smartphone market set in 2016, revealed CEO
Last month, on May 12, 2015, Nokia just celebrated their 150th anniversary, making it one of the longest-life smartphone manufacturers in the world. One month later, we have their Nokia CEO announced with the press about a promising coming back: Nokia’s return to the smartphone market with Nokia Android!! Isn’t it just exciting and worth waiting for the Nokia Comeback in 2016?

Nokia’s return to the smartphone battle has already been set to come. Although most of this Finnish technology company was sold to Microsoft in a multi-million dollar deal which completed last year, there are still parts belong to the long-standing brand. In the Nokia’s return, the Giant will be focusing on designing and licensing only.
Nokia’s return: Watch out, competitors! The Giant is coming back
They are thinking of partnering with some different third parties to provide Nokia’s design and let those companies manufacture and launch final products, said CEO Rajeev Suri to German Publication, the “Manager Magazin”, when announcing Nokia’s return. Under an agreement with Microsoft, Nokia is not allowed to use its brand on phones until Q4 of 2016. So if everything goes right, the world-famous Nokia will come back to the smartphone market in 2016. “We will look for suitable partners,” says Suri. “Microsoft makes mobile phones. We would simply design them and then make the brand name available to license.”
Nokia Comeback 2016: Promising a dream flagship?
Recently, even before the news of Nokia’s return was revealed, there have been leaking rumors about an amazing Nokia Power Ranger concept. The device is spotted with 512GB and Dual-Boot, which has drawn attention of huge amount of users worldwide. Now, together with the returning of the Giant, we have all the proof to hope that the dream device will come true soon. It’s been really long since we last heard the name Nokia in smartphone retailers and showroom. Hope the Finnish Giant will bring out something extraordinary like the long awaited Nokia C1 Android Smartphone!

4GB RAM Asus Zenfone 2 128GB ROM officially arrived
Our favorite Asus Zenfone 2 over the media lately comes in many versions with different RAM and ROM, as we already wrote in our many previous posts.
If you still remember, earlier last month, we already heard about the rumor that Asus was working on a brand new variant with 128GB going together with the powerful 4GB RAM.
Recently, Asus Zenfone 2 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM was officially but quietly launched in India and even went on sale via Flipkart. Although Asus is based in Taiwan, India – the super potential market was the first to welcome this new member. And of course, its hometown was the next to welcome this beast. The device arrived at 10 am on May 19 in Taiwan.

ASUS ZenFone 2 128GB and 4GB RAM is coming!
However, apart from the official arrival, we don’t know any further whether the Zenfone 2 128GB has any improvements compared to earlier variants or not. Yet the super huge ROM itself already makes a considerable difference, do you think so?
With the device, users can freely add up to as many apps, games, videos and files as they want to, without any additional card. If the Zenfone 2 128GB Philippines arrives soon in the future, how much do you think you will pay for it?

Huawei Nexus 2015 Beast confirmed, coming soon with 5.7” and Snapdragon!?
Over the last months, we are informed of the new Google Nexus in 2015 produced by Huawei manufacturer. And now we have got a publication claiming to have received confirmation. Actually, this information is from a Huawei employee in the UK.
Huawei Nexus 2015
Of course, the new Nexus will be coming at the end of 2015. and Huawei and Google are working well together to release an amazing smartphone. It is also quite easy to notice that Huawei company wants to get their brand name more recognized in the mobile market, which can be helped by the association with Google in the Nexus project. So, we guess that they will try their best to make an outstanding Nexus.
On the other hand, sources say that Huawei will not be able to put the Nexus smartphones on sale in their home market, which is China for sure. It is because most Google Services have been banned in China. Yet, who knows what can happen in the next months. Everything can be changed. Perhaps Huawei Nexus 2015 with the same hardware but with tweaked software will debut here.
However, there are not many details spotted for this flagship device. What we’ve got so far is some leaks mentioning that Huawei Nexus 2015 will own a 5.7-inch QHD screen and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. Some even says that Nexus is likely to draw its inspiration from Huawei P8. Though, Huawei has not confirmed anything officially while Google refused to give any comments. So, we should be waiting.

To recap, once again there is information saying that the next Google Nexus generation will come out this year! And this time, it is claimed by a Huawei employee. It increases the possibility of the appearance of Huawei Nexus 2015 around the end of the year. Worth waiting, right?!

600M Samsung smartphones vulnerable to keyboard hack
Latest news from WSJ and Nowsecure has reported that, more than 600 millions Samsung smartphones, most of which belong to the Galaxy series, can be affected by a serious security flaw in the re-installed keyboard. It is being said, if not fixed, the hackers can follow track to attack and take over the control of you phone’s GPS, camera, mircophone. They can even install harmful apps, control you private messages, phone calls or picture/video gallery without you knowing.
The security problem comes from Swiftkey Keyboard app when users download the pre-installed system-level app. (SwiftKey refers to such app as the “Samsung stock keyboard using the SwiftKey SDK”). If you are using the official version of SwiftKey downloaded from Playstore, then you don’t have to worry about this risk.
Earlier last year, in November 2014, NowSecure, a security agency based in Israel detected and warned Samsung as well as Google Android security team about the risk of keyboard hack. The Korean company asked NowSecure to give them 3 months to fix the keyboard hack before spreading the news to public so that it won’t make consumers worry. However, the update launched in March did not seem to work really well. Experts from NowSecure still found the problem when they bought the newest Galaxy S6 from Samsung last week.
Here are some of the things an attacker could do with your Samsung keyboard hack:
1. Access sensors and resources like GPS, camera and microphone
2. Secretly install malicious app(s) without the user knowing
3. Tamper with how other apps work or how the phone works
4. Eavesdrop on incoming/outgoing messages or voice calls
5. Attempt to access sensitive personal data like pictures and text messages
Samsung started providing a patch to mobile network operators in early 2015. However, it is still unknown how many devices are still potential from keyboard hack. Anyway, prevention is always better than cure. For users’ safety, NowSecure suggests the following tips to minimize the risk of keyboard hack for you Samsung smartphones:
* Avoid connecting to insecure Wi-fi networks (without password/public networks)
* Use a different mobile device while waiting for updates
* Contact carriers for patch information and timing
If you are using a Samsung smartphone from the Galaxy S4 and later, it is highly advised to be aware of the risk and keep yourself updated.
OnePlus TWO Teaser official: Design similar to OnePlus One!?
We are almost in the middle of June and recently, OnePlus team has partly made the summer hotter by releasing the the very first OnePlus Two teaser. Somehow its design is similar to the OPO. Let’s take a look at the following pictures:
OnePlus Two teaser
Teasers of the successor to OnePlus One having been posted show a general view of the new machine. However, seem like it cannot tell us much about its design.
If you remember, OnePlus team is running a contest to select a winner to participate its secret project for OnePlus Two in Hong Kong. Contestants will have to snap and send an unedited and non-filtered photo to the company’s Instagram by using the @oneplustech tag. Ten candidates will be picked based on the number of votes and “technical ability”, then the winner will be chosen by the public.
But the point here is that to promote for this program, OnePlus has posted an announcement on the Facebook along with a picture, which is likely to be the OnePlus 2 teaser.
We can notice that the phone is held in landscape, so there’s only the screen to be seen. It looks large and the bezel is really thin. Anyhow, before officially unveiling the true handset in the Q3 of 2015, OnePlus might not just let us figure out everything!
For not only the design but also the OnePlus Two specs, we still have to wait a bit more, yet some sources in China claim that the phone will boast 3GB RAM, Full HD display and Snapdragon 810 processor. Other than that, a fingerprint scanner is also rumored to come along with “better than Touch ID” features.
In terms of OnePlus Two teaser price, it has not been confirmed yet. Nonetheless, there might be two OnePlus models we have to guess the prices: one is a flagship to replace OnePlus One and the other is a mid-range phone with lower specs and price tag.
So, what are your hopes for the OnePlus 2 Philippines? Share with us!
