Some rumours about a press conference of Meizu in January 28th was leaked last week. Therein, Meizu will introduced “Lucky three” or “three happiness” which we believed that this is alleged “the Meizu m1 Note Mini”. Actually, we don’t know exactly there are “three surprise” in one device or on more devices. But now, on the company’s official Weibo page, Meizu unveiled about an event, titled “Connected” on the same expected day (in fact a day later). And according to this news, we have consolidated our thought once again. It means that the new m1 mini will be the centerpiece of the show and its phone is definitely appeared in this show.

Its new phone is predicted to feature a 5″ screen and will be powered by a Mediatek chipset. And althought that’s all info we know so far. This new phone is targeted to directly compete the Xiaomi Redmi 2, primarily in its home market. So, its phone will probably be priced at around 100 USD in local market which is equivalent to 4500 Philippines peso.

As you probably know, the Meizu m1 Note was introduced last month and its phone has many similarities with the Apple iPhone 5C in design, especially in specific colors: green, pink, blue, yellow and white. To get more about the Meizu m1 Note, plese read the Meizu m1 Note review.

Its apparently smaller brother, the m1 mini will be even harder to tell apart from Apple’s colorful previous generation.

Last week, we saw a spy pic which shown a smaller blue shell with Meizu branding on that appears. And it highly looks like the spy phone is much more and the quite same in size to its sibling – the Meizu MX3. Other addition, this phone has the same unibody design as the m1 Note.

Addition: Xiaomi have just released teasers. According to this leak, There could shown other possibilities from a fitness tracker or related products, payment options or smart home devices. The named event ” Connected” can make us think about whatever Meizu have planned will be connected through your Flyme account similar to what Xiaomi offer.

Xiaomi has just introduced two new flagships – Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. It means that Xiaomi has various products in their portfolios, from super cheap to high-end smartphones, wearables, smart home gadgets, TV. But it seems that Xiaomi want more than that. Xiaomi recently leaked several teasers for something happening on 20 January 2015. Especially after the ban of gaming consoles in China has been lifted last year, it is predicted that they have some sort of gaming products.

Xiaomi has much rumours of what is their upcoming device. And in fact, we have no idea of this next handset. But because this teaser is appearing in ther offcial gaming account on Weibo, so it highly looks like that this might be a gaming product. But that’s doesn’t help us short down the list.

Lying on this leaked image which said the following lines: “不管多大、一举拿下”以及“玩大的才爽” which can be translate “No matter how big it is, can be taken in one hand”. So, it means the device will be larger, yet compact, which is definitely a contradicting statement “Bigger is Better” in the previous teaser, first image.

What do you think about this teaser. It might be a gaming controller, a gaming focused tablet, gaming console, TV or so on. We don’t know exactly. But fortunately, 20th Jan is coming so we won’t have to wait too long for seeing what Xiaomi has in store. We will update more news tomorrow.

Sony Xperia Z3 paid much attention and had much success. We’re still looking for a new flagship of Sony. And of course, this will be the next generation of Xperia Z3, can be probably called Xperia Z4. A mysterious Sony device has passed through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA and its phone is absolutely the alleged upcoming Sone Xperia Z4. Its phone comes with ‘Type Number’ PM-0850-BV and ‘FCC ID’ PY7-PM0850.

This phone will be supported with LTE bands 2,5,6 is all of information we know. Otherwise, The Sony Xperia Z4 is expected to carry an LTE Cat.9-capable (450Mbps), the latest Snapdragon 810 chipset, 5.2″ (instead of expected 5.5″) a long with a resolution of 1440 x 2560px Triluminos display, 20.7MP OIS, water resistance, massive 3,400mAh battery and an updated Android Lollipop. A couple of weeks ago, there is a rumour of upcoming variants of FHD and QHD display Xperia Z4.

On the official launch on Jan 15th, Xiaomi introduced two new flagship which is targeted to high-end customers Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. Especially,the Mi Note Pro is the world’s first 4GB and Snapdragon 810 in device.

Needless to say, the Mi Note as well as the Mi Note Pro are the first new range of Xiaomi and of course, completely new with other Xiaommi phones. In the official launch, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun compared the Mi Note Pro to Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Especially in terms of design Xiaomi achieved to make their flagships smaller and more compact then the iPhone 6Plus while having a larger screen. In fact, this phone has too much advantages compared to other recent flagship smartphones now, such as: Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Motorola Nexus 6, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and also OnePlus One. And today, we will give you a short comparision between them and hope that our trying is helpful for you, guys.

Price: The Note Pro is announced at a launch price of 3299 Yuan or round PHP24K. That price is quite cheaper than iPhone 6 Plus, Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6 but more expensive then the Mate 7 for example.

Design: The Xiaomi Mi Note has a dimension of  155.1×77.6×6.95mm and weighs 161g. Its phone is thinner and lighter than iPhone 6 PLus but with a larger display, meaning its phone is very compact.  Especially in terms of thickness, it beats easily all the other FlagShips phablets like Note 4 and even the iPhone 6 Plus.

Otherwise, the Mi Note features the same display in size and resolution with the Note 4, but truely the Note 4 AMOLED display might be slightly better though.

Specs: The Mi Note comes with many high and newest specs, such as: Snapdragon 810 with Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 Cores, amazing 4GB of RAM, QHD display (1440 x 2560 resolution), excellent pixel density of 515 p. Too much modernest features in one device and of course, thanks to Xiaomi. With all of its specs, easily to realize that the Mi Note is the most powereful handset in our comparision and definitely the TRUE Flagship for 2015 so far.

As for camera, the Mi Note Pro arrives with 13MP Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor rear camera along with f/2.0 aperture as well as OIS  and Dual Tone LED FLash by Philipps. Nokia recently prove their appeal with 20,000 units for only 4 minutes on sale in China in the first batch (Jan 7th). The second batch went today and it highly looks like this batch was longer than the last time. But no more words about the specific units as well as how many buyers were interested this time around. If you missed this tablet in their hands, don’t too much worry cuzaccording to nokiapoweruser, the third batch is set to arrive on January 22, with registration opening tomorrow (Jan 16th).

We have just provided you the local phone – Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus. Now, we heard about new news of the Cherry Mobile Cosmos Force. If the Cosmos One Plus missed 64-bit chipset. It alleged seems that its phone will come with this miss spec. Therefore, it definitely the company’s first ever smartphone with a 64-bit processor.

According to a reseller, Cherry Angel has just leaked, the Cosmos Force will be sold at P6,999 with 5.26″ display, 4G LTE. Hopefully its phone will be used by the same chipset with the Xiaomi Redmi 2 – Snapdragon 410 chipset. Very enjoyable, the Cosmos Force will has cameras that both use backside illumination technology in order to take a higher – quality pictures even in low light condition. As for photography, its phone will arrive with 18MP rear camera along with BSI and LED flash as well as 8MP “selfie” shooter with BSI.

The Cosmos Force will expected to upgrade to Anroid 5.0 Lollipop. But it looks like it takes times for its update which means that its phone will be powered by Android 4.4 KitKat OS instead.

Cosmos One Plus is the latest phone of the local smartphone maker – Cherry Mobile, and of course, the fastest device from any local company that’s out right now. This phone is the direct rival of the Starmobile Knight X. Let explore about its phone, guys.

Cherry Mobile has just teased the Cosmos One Plus with the code “64.8C.4G”. Someone can think about 64 bit processor and in fact, its phone refers to the 64GB microSD card slot capacity of the device. But, anyway, its phone is still an infernal device no matter packing 64 bit processor or not. In more detail, its phone is packed 3GB of RAM, 5.5-inch full HD display, dual 4G LTE connectivity along with 32GB of onboard storage. Chinese-based flagship makers are shaking the smartphone market up. Xiaomi is one of the smartphone vendors who are now paying much attention.

Are we waiting for Xiaomi Mi 4? It seems that this phone will be no longer available in Phi. And its perfect alternative is new Mi Note. Yesterday, we have showed you the latest phones of Xiaomi  – Mi Note and Mi Note Pro. According to a reliable source, Xiaomi Mi Note will come to Phi in Q2 2015. But no official words for its price in Phi. Be noticed that this phone is priced at 2299 Yuan and 3299 Yuan for 3GB/4GB variant in the first batch.

As most of you probably know, but for the other guys who don’t know about its specs. We will give you a quick cap. Except for a lower resolution (1080 instead of 2K display) and lower chipset (Snapdragon 801 instead of the latest Snapdragon 810), most of the remaining specs are the same for two phablets (Mi Note & Mi Note Pro).

More specifically, the Mi Note (Pro) will come with 5.7″, both sides of the phone is covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, therein 2.5D curved glass on the front and 3D curved glass at the back, and has an overall thickness of 6.95mm (is thinner than Apple iPhone 6 Plus – 7.1 mm). The upcoming-big update to Android 5.0 lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is coming. Although the deployment has yet to be performed, Samsung has redesigned the manual already in attempt to put online. The firmware update is tended to land some time this month. The newest user manual is also a strong indication that owner don’t have to wait for too long.

As you know, today is the official launch of “New Flagship” of Xiaomi. Some recent rumours, leaked photos about its new phone(s) make us a little excited and eager to know much more information. In the earlier Dec, we thought that this phone is absolutely Xiaomi Mi5 with a lot of high-specs. But, it seems that Xiaomi Mi5 is not this mentioned phone of Xiaomi.

And now, finally, in an event in Beijing, this phone come with us – the latest flagship  smartphone – called Mi Note/Mi Note Pro. The Mi Note Pro can probably see as the direct rival of Apple iPhone 6 Plus and Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun compared this phone to Apple iPhone 6 Plus many times. Wow. It’s great. I guess that this phone will be appeared in a beautiful design as well as packed with many high-quality specs. So, let explore this phone now.

The Mi Note Pro features a bigger 5.7″ along with 2K display ( 2560×1440 resolution), pixel density of 515p. Its phone is powered  by Snapdragon 810 chipset clocked at 2.5 GHz processor and an Adreno 330 GPU.

Both sides of the phone is covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, therein 2.5D curved glass on the front and 3D curved glass at the back, and has an overall thickness of 6.95mm (is thinner than Apple iPhone 6 Plus – 7.1 mm). Here is a leaked photo of Mi Note score on Antutu Benchmark, probably thanks to a kind guy who has tested its performance. Therefore, Mi Note is scored a respectable 46,714 points overall. It means that this phone definitely beats out HTC M8, Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and even Mi 4. Sounds great. And what’s about Mi Note Pro score. It definitely much more amazing!

If you’re now a HTC user and you’re wondering when HTC will be updated the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. And now, expected schedule for the Lollipop OTA has just leaked out. Therefore, its report will let you know the specific update time for each device.

As you can see at the above image, the HTC M8 and the HTC M7 will be updated in this month (Jan). This sound seems great for M8 as well as M7 users. But what’s about other devices?

The next device will be updated are the HTC One E8, Desire EYE, M8 EYE and Butterfly 2 in Feb. In March, most of phones will be updated, including 7 handsets: One Max, M7 China, Desire 816, Desire 820u, HTC One M8 Mini, One E8 China, One M8 Eye China. In the rest of the phone will be spent for April.

Very interesting, the HTC One Remix isn’t mentioned. I guess that its phone’ll be updated alongside the HTC One M8 Mini (meaning in March), since they’re primarily same phones, but without a Verizon logo and boot-up screen.

Therefore, almost devices will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop and Sense 6 interface before May. Because May HTC flagship maker will start updating the new interface Sense 7.0 on your device after the predicted launch of HTC Hima in March. We are not sure for its news, cuz this update time frames can slip. Especially when HTC isn’t announced anything.
